We join this show in progress, CAPCHA hot-linked from Prestige PayWall Wrestling's "Parlay at the Prestigio" event.
*The LAWLitorium is LIVE, being broadcast all around the world. Arthur Wingate is still in the ring, right where we left him from the other show. (His molecules aren't scattered from traveling across websites at all. Let's take a moment of silence to celebrate previous versions of his edit who didn't make that dimensional journey, allowing us to perfect the practice and sharpen science). Arthur has a microphone.*
[Arthur:] "Once again, greetings everyone and a very Happy 13th Anniversary to the OG-FPD! UBL is proud to take *Arthur smirks* the honor of being the promotion this year that celebrates the grand anniversary with a live event. Tonight's show is coming to you from the LAWLitorium courtesy of the LAWL owners, the Reyes Sisters. So please thank them and LAWL for their generosity and assistance. Since we do not yet have a new home arena in the United States, their hospitality has been absolutely critical for this event to occur.
I have a number of announcements to make during tonight's show that will bring a long dormant UBL into the present and consistent future, but you have already had to deal with enough talking up to this pount. I want to take you to our first match in just a few moments."
*The crowd seems appreciative and Arthur bows to them.*
[Arthur:] "Our first match is a defense of the Field Leader Title by Darius Korvin. Although we have not had an official show for over a year, the wrestlers of the Basic Training program have continued working in preparation of one day making it to the main roster. They have worked hard in their own Dojos around the world with occasional visits from Darius. These specific wrestlers are now eligible to have graduation matches over the course of the next year: Kazuo Saji and Tetsu Gushiken of Matsuki Holdings, Kurt Sanders from "Three of a Kind", and JET Hamada. Tetsu has his match right now. He has trained rigorously with one-half of the Universal Battalion Champions, RYOMA, over the past year to hone his craft.
Graduation to the main roster is guaranteed with a victory over the Field Leader but can also be granted in the result of an impressive losing effort. Also, if Tetsu were to win tonight, he has the option of becoming the new Field Leader instead of moving onto the main roster. But I would not suggest that anyone spend time prematurely speculating about his options, since Darius has only lost one match since joining UBL four years ago."

Darius (O) [Avalanche Double Arm Suplex - 16:18] (X) Tetsu Gushiken
*Tetsu and Darius shake hands in the middle of the ring and the crowd gives them a standing ovation. Arthur shakes hands with them both as they leave the ring and go to the back. He comes back into the ring with a microphone.*
[Arthur:] "For the 10 Year Anniversary of OG-FPD in 2013, Tetsu Gushiken wrestled against NorthStarLion in a Universal Access match. That match quite justifiably received rave reviews and garnered both of them a following here. Tetsu had yet another opportunity tonight to have a historic match and he and Darius clearly accomplished that. Given that this was the first match that UBL put on in over two years, I am very proud of their efforts as are the fans. Darius just told Tetsu and I that Tetsu has clearly earned his spot onto the main roster and has now graduated."
*The crowd cheers again as Tetsu holds his arm up in celebration as he walks backstage. "Matsuki Holdings" T-shirt wearing fans rejoice!*
[Arthur:] "I promised you all some major news about the future of the UBL. But to understand the road ahead, we must first acknowledge our past. Tonight is not the only important anniversary on my mind. June 3rd, 2017 will mark the 10 year anniversary of the first official UBL show under Orochi Geese's leadership. To celebrate that milestone, we will be forging a new path that will hopefully allow us to sustain for another 10 years. From this point forward, we are switching to a 'touring' system similar to many professional wrestling promotions in Japan.
Our first Tour will be named the 'Universal Base 10 Count!' and the first event will occur on February 11th, 2017. The tour will culminate in the UBL 10 Year Anniversary show called 'Base 10' on June 3rd, 2017 where every one of our Championships will be on the line.
After that show is over, we will take stock of our position and prepare for another tour while allowing our roster to properly rest.
During the tour, the NEXUS Champion will have at least two Title defenses, one coming against the winner of the next match. This Battle Royale has a combination of veterans and new wrestlers from each of our Title divisions. They all have a shot to make history here tonight."

Lucha La Barba (O) [Rolling Beard Hold - 19:32] (X) Rambui Jones
[Arthur:] "First off, you will all be glad to hear that Ricky Santana did not suffer a serious injury in that match. He was able to walk backstage on his own power after being 'helped' up by Lucha La Barba and 'escorted' out of the ring by Algernon LeBlanc. We also apologize for any technical difficulties that occurred during the matcht. Gloria Reyes informed me that one of the Broadcasting Bananas slipped on their 'ISPeel.'
You go to war with the arena and jokes you have. Speaking of going to war, I have another announcement that will shake up the existing structure. UBL suffers from a Championship controversy. Matt Rivers holds the NEXUS Championship while Corey O'Brian, who was never defeated for his NEXUS Championship in the old UBL, declared himself the World Heavyweight Champion after defeating top NEXUS contender RYOMA in a 3 match series. Corey was originally focused on unifying the Titles, as was Matt. But the events that caused UBL to get shut down by INTERPOL caused Corey and I to sit down and discuss how the World Championship could be used equally and independently of the NEXUS Championship.
I now formally acknowledge Corey's World Heavyweight Championship as an official UBL Title. In doing so, I particularly emphasize the 'World' notation in it's name. As the holder of this title, Corey O'Brian will be the new gatekeeper of UBL against international wrestlers outside of our promotion who would like to challenge us. This goes for wrestlers who have healthy intentions of rivalry and competition but also those with unhealthy intentions, such as Destiny. Matt Rivers will be the Champion inside of UBL and Corey O'Brian will be our Champion who faces the rest of the world. This will allow Corey the opportunity to challenge and face the Destiny representative, and his accessories, who attacked his friend, Xander Starr. Meanwhile, Matt Rivers can be freed up to wrestle those within the promotion who share his philosophy on competition.
Although Ruby Moreno was able to sneak two Destiny wrestlers in thanks to Joachim's Trial Series, no additional Destiny members will be allowed onto our roster unless they defeat Corey O'Brian first. I don't need to say how unlikely and tall of an order that will be. Much like the Field Leader Title does for rookies, the World Championship will function as a 'gatekeeper' title for veteran outsiders. You can not join the UBL as an accomplished outsider without going through Corey, and you can't join the main roster as a rookie without going through Basic Training and Darius. Due to the gatekeeper role - if Corey were to somehow lose a match against an outsider, he would not lose the World Heavyweight Championship. Only an official UBL roster member can challenge Corey for the Championship itself, as well as the right to be the gatekeeper against outside talent.
For critics of this plan, it is true that those who seek to bring UBL down or hurt its integrity now have a documented and legal procedure to do it. The only small problem is that procedure involves you getting into the ring with an angry and protective Corey O'Brian.
The old adage rings quite true here: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
*Arthur smirks and the most of the crowd laughs along with him.*
[Arthur:] "There is one more obstacle for challengers who wish to face Corey. Unfortunately, this requirement is necessary due to Destiny having INTERPOL freeze our money and capital in England. As a result, a challenger will have to put up $10,000 to face Corey. We need to continue running shows and gate profits won't be enough for us to get to 'Base 10' and pay our expected operating costs. I will not accept outside investors because that threatens our independence. However, I know there are many with deep pockets who seek to make trouble for us or simply want to prove their superiority. So I say, in classic fashion - put your money where your mouth is or convince someone of means to sponsor you."
*The crowd murmurs, somewhat uncomfortably about this news.*
[Arthur:] "I did not come up with this 'pay to play' idea myself. Thunder Strike, the new head of UBL security, put it together after talking to Corey about Destiny and the World Heavyweight Championship in advance of this show. I believe that this is the right way to go forward. Remember our history: UBL has been attacked in the last ten years by dangerous families like the Dod Squod, bloodthirsty factions like Jinchuu, and delusional organizations like Destiny. All of those groups would have paid handsomely to have the opportunity to take us down so why not profit off those attempts? I have full confidence in Corey O"Brian as UBL World Heavyweight Champion. He can be our gatekeeper, he can be our next Knight.
*The crowd cheers at this and Arthur smiles, laughing a little to himself.*
[Arthur:] "I am also happy to report that we have our first $10,000 contestant. He is the definition of a man who has a one-track mind and focused wallet to influence the UBL. I would much prefer have him attacking us head on than doing so from the shadows. It has not been a matter of public knowledge, but those close to Orochi Army know that Kyle Walker was not pulling all of the strings in the Jinchuu faction. Rather, he was often unknowingly influenced by another man. In fact, James Ward, the former Centurion, was actually loyal to this man rather than Kyle Walker."
*The crowd is silent at this, very taken back by the news.*
[Arthur:] "Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the first in the UBL World Heavyweight Championship challenger series: the first ever Universal Champion and multi-time holder of the Universal Space-Time Continuum Title- the COSMIC K*I*D."
*The crowd is shocked to finally see the man briefly discussed in the 10 year old UBL history document on their official website! Were the last 10 years of UBL all actually leading to this: A moderately dramatic reveal of a wrestler discussed in a blurb of an old document? Could this be it? The realization of the Space-Time Continuum dream? Is this what it's like... when gooses cry?
K*I*D walks to the ring and is given a microphone by Arthur. K*I*D hands Arthur an envelope, presumably of 10 G's of cash-money.*
[Arthur:] "Allow me to welcome you out of the shadows and into the lights of the new UBL, Cosmic K*I*D. As I will ask every time this challenge occurs, please tell me what what your motivation is in challenging Corey and UBL. In your case, what is the reason you dislike us?"
[K*I*D:] "I wish to erase the stench of Orochi Geese and Drake Yoshida. Under my leadership, I would make UBL entertaining again: the way it used to be. This started as a science fiction promotion and turned into a Strong Style one thanks to Yoshida's leadership and Geese's presence. The true fans want the Space-Time Continuum back. I want to bring back the era where a man like the Centurion is celebrated and not mocked."
[Arthur:] "You are putting up $10,000 to turn back history and the Centurion is your gold standard?"
[K*I*D:] "Correct."
[Arthur:] "Idealistic motivations aside, let's talk practicality. You understand that Corey O'Brian represents the height of evolution of integrating years of pro wrestling and martial arts into his style? If you think that a twenty year old comedic pro wrestlng style will-"
[K*I*D:] "Let me stop you right there. I do not plan to bring back a more peaceful and entertaining era by using tactics from that era against this violent one. You acknowledged that I was the first Universal Champion, so you should be aware of what I'm capable of in regards to the style of wrestling this promotion turned into. I will face Corey on the terms of being a modern warrior, not of an entertaining wrestler."
[Arthur:] "How patronizing!! You refuse to acknowledge that a great many people consider Corey's style to be entertaining in his dedication as a warrior. You have a right to enjoy what you want, but ignoring the popularity of this style and roster is foolish of you and insulting to us. However, you are correct about your old abilities. The only question is whether or not you have kept up with the advances of a style you despise."
[K*I*D:] "I'm the reigning Space-Time Continuum Champion - I am never out of date or out of place."
[Arthur:] "Okay, I finally understand why you disgusted Drake after all these years. But thank you for your money just the same. Corey?"
*Corey O'Brian comes to the ring to MASSIVE applause and a "we're not worthy" chant K*I*D bristles at their worship which causes the fans to direct a "Corey's gonna kill you" chant which riles K*I*D up further. He screams "you're just proving my point!" Corey ignores all of this, gets into the ring, and stares a hole through K*I*D who, to his credit, is not at all intimidated. They both take their time to stretch in their respective corners of the ring, all while not taking their eyes off of each other for a second. The bell rings and here we go!*

Corey (O) [taunt -> roll on stomach 'Core Lariat' - 17:49] (X) Cosmic K*I*D
*Cosmic K*I*D gets up on his own power and stares emotionless at the victorious Corey for almost an entire minute before leaving the ring. The fans cheer for Corey as well as for the match as a whole. A few even cheer for K*I*D. Arthur gets back into the ring.*
[Arthur:] "Congratulations on not just a successful World Championship defense but UBL defense by Corey O'Brian."
*The crowd cheers again with a few plush Las Potatodoras being thrown into the air for dramatic celebratory effect.*
[Arthur:] "I would like to talk more about the Touring system. Each new tour will be built around one particular Championship, with the other Champions having occasional Title defenses. The Universal Base 10 Tour will be focused on crowning new Universal Battalion Tag Titles."
*The crowd is initially excited but then quiets down because of the ramifications.*
[Arthur:] "Your confusion is appropriate. Sun & Moon will be retiring as the longest reigning Universal Battalion Champions, effective tonight. The reason for that is due to the fundamental nature of the Battalion Titles. When I bought UBL and made it public again, exactly four years ago at the 'Recrowned' show, I told everyone that the Tag Titles were meant to foster partnerships through experience between mentors and students. At that time, RYOMA could still be considered a student. In fact, even when RYOMA and Nobu Nakazawa originally won the Battalion Title, it was still early in their Tag Title World Conquest where they won and simultaneously held the Tag Team Championships of four different major promotions.
However, RYOMA can not be considered a student anymore. In the time since he won the titles with Nobu, RYOMA defeated Corey O'Brian in a match and came within a half second of winning a second match. He and Nobu became dominant tag forces across the world and in the UBL. I have no doubt that a legend such as Nobu is still able to impart wisdom to RYOMA, and I am sure that a contemplative man such as RYOMA realizes he still has much to learn and is open to any guidance. However, it is clear that RYOMA is no longer a student in the sense that this Title was intended to feature. In fact, RYOMA has even taken on a student of his own: Tetsu Gushiken, a man who has clearly been taught a lot by him.
So the Universal Base 10 Tour! will feature a tournament to crown new Universal Battalion Champions. This is not a surprise to Sun & Moon. They very graciously accepted my decision and understand why I came to it. I would like to bring them out one final time as the Universal Battalion Champions so that they can come to the ring, enjoy the love of the fans, and return their Championships...undefeated."
*RYOMA and Nobu Nakazawa, collectively "Sun & Moon," come out to the ring to a standing ovation from the fans. When they get into the ring, half of the locker room piles out onto the stage and applauds them. We are treated to a rare sight as RYOMA actually appears to be touched by this display and is getting emotional. Sako Dasumi, of Matsuki Holdings, walks down to the ring and holds RYOMA's hand up to massive applause. Kazuo Saji, Dissmaster Dr0id, and Hae-Won walk up to the middle of the ramp and also enthusiastically cheer their Matsuki family member.*
[Arthur:] "You both deserve this. I can not think of better representatives of our tag team division and promotion than you two."
*A 'what the f*ck?' statement is heard as Tyler Alexander rushes down the ramp from the stage area, pushing past the Matsuki members, and rolls into the ring. A few seconds later, a concerned looking Goro Yamashita follows his "Agents of the Iron Fist" teammate to the ring. Arthur has put his microphone down and is talking to an enraged Tyler. Goro joins the conversation and is trying to calm Tyler down. RYOMA and Nobu look annoyed that their moment is being stepped on. RYOMA walks up to the three talking but Arthur requests that he keep his distance given Tyler's anger.*
[Arthur:] "Ok, you all have a right to know what is happening here. Tyler Alexander is angry because he feels cheated of a Title match. He and Goro Yamashita had earned a shot at the Universal Battalion Championship right before Destiny and INTERPOL shut us down. Tyler is angry that they won't get the chance to challenge the long time Champions and are, instead, forced to give up their #1 contender status due to the upcoming tournament. But this isn't so much about the Title shot itself as it is the team he wanted a shot against. He wanted to beat Sun & Moon for the Titles or else he says the victory doesn't mean anything. While I don't appreciate your tone with me, Tyler, I think we can all understand your point of view-"
*RYOMA whispers to Nobu who unflinchingly nods at him then steps up to Arthur and Tyler.*
[RYOMA:] "One more match then. Title shot is up to you Arthur. Either way, Nobu and I want them right now."
[Arthur:] "You don't mind putting your undefeated status in jeopardy? You earned it."
[RYOMA:] "Our undefeated status only means something when there is no one left to face us. If we hide from a challenge, our Championship has been taken away by our own cowardice long before it was rendered obsolete by Battalion rules. We are Champions and will defend one more time, or else everything we have fought for is meaningless. Win or lose, we wrestle our last Title match now or we were never Champions to begin with."
[Arthur:] "All right, that's all I need to hear. Sun & Moon, your final Universal Battalion Championship match is right now!"
*The crowd erupts and Tyler smiles. The wrestlers on the ramp and stage go backstage. Matt Rivers lingers for a few seconds longer, making eye contact with both RYOMA and an evasive Tyler Alexander, before going backstage with everyone else.*

*Tyler takes a few seconds to come to and get up. But when he does, he storms backstage without talking to anyone. Goro stays and congratulates the Champions, shaking their hands. Arthur gets into the ring and shakes the hands of Sun & Moon too, handing them the Universal Battalion Championship belts for the last time. Nobu and RYOMA look at the Titles, hold them up to thunderous applause, then hand them back gracefully to Arthur Wingate. Goro and Arthur leave the ring, allowing Sun & Moon to have their final moments in UBL as a Championship team.*
*Commercials air for LAWLiday 2016 where an OMG Title match is promised between Kat Black and Lucy Cutlass.*
*We go back to "13" where Arthur Wingate is standing in the ring once again with a microphone.*
[Arthur:] "The abilities and class of Sun & Moon will not soon be matched. The next Champions have their work cut out for them in stepping out of the shadow of the most dominant Universal Battalion unit in history.
But that is the challenge in professional wrestling. Some Champions are able to fill the shoes of the legends before them while others crumble under the pressure. We have been fortunate to have men that rise to the task even with impossible expectations foisted onto them by past Champions.
That brings us to our main event where UBL's most recognizable Champion, Matthew Rivers, defends his NEXUS Championship. Matt is now a two-time NEXUS Champion, only the second man to pull off that task with Gene Starr being the first. Matt is considered by many to be the heart of UBL. You can not find anyone on this roster who has been more successful against both the Jinchuu and Destiny threats. He led the Front Lines division which kept the UBL heart beating when Kyle Walker attempted to puncture it. He lost his NEXUS Title in an incredible match against the most sympathetic Destiny member in Joachim. But Matt took the time to grow as a wrestler, and as a man, and came back to reclaim his Championship.
Tonight Matt faces a rising warrior who took us all by surprise. Destiny's Matthias has posed a challenge and menace to everyone, including myself, but he was handed his first decisive defeat by the Youth Pro Style wrestling graduate, a man named Brandr Hoff."
*The crowd erupts in cheers for Brandr's names while others in the crowd (wearing Destiny shirts) attempt to calm them down.*
[Arthur:] "Brandr's defeat of Matthias didn't just expose a flaw in his supposed dominance, but added to a list of victories that UBL claimed over Destiny in the Fall of 2014. That led Ruby to sic INTERPOL on us, effectively shutting us down for two years. Both Matt and Brandr dealt mortal blows to the seeming invincibility of Destiny and the sense of inevitability of their victory over us. Whoever wins this match clearly deserves to be the NEXUS Champion and represent everyone on this roster. They beat Destiny members in the ring. While that specific responsibility is now Corey's, either Matt or Brandr can still defeat Destiny going forward in their own way by putting on the best matches as NEXUS Champion."

Corey (O) [

Nobu Nakazawa/RYOMA (O) ["ECHO Lariat" - 25:29] (X) Tyler Alexander/Goro Yamashita

Matt Rivers (O) ["Flow Lariat" -> "Stop Valve" - 16:33] (X) Brandr Hoff
*Matt and Brandr shake hands as the crowd shows their gratitude for the heart and talent of both men. Arthur Wingate gets into the ring, raises Matt's hand in victory, and gives him his NEXUS Championship.*
[Arthur:] "We will see you in February with the first stop of the Universal Base 10 Tour! The Universal Battle League is back!"
