Yeah, the thing is, I do my stats/moves/logic design in Excel and Notepad before putting them in the game, since I want to be able to enter them as fast as possible when using the emulator. Then all your templates are basically already done, correct? Aside from future possible tweaks, that is. So, I currently have a standard of 5% front headlock at LD, plus 10% on ground pins at ND. Now, that sounds like a potential recipe for disaster, but in the few sims I've been able to do, I don't think the headlock -> elbow -> pin -> 3 count has happened more than once, but I'd definitely change that if it happened too often... The only problem would be just where I would assign that five percent in front grapple LD, really. Well you have 10% for near death right? You could always distribute those 10 % points to every other move, right (maybe barring Irish whip and one or two of the big moves?). Honestly though, if you aren't seeing the R trigger -> Pin happen much, I won't bother you about changing it until it ends a close match I see. By that time, there will probably be dozens of title and roster changes in FPJ, so that could factor in to the "who should I use?" dilemma. Hell, maybe I could even finish an actual dit oack by then (but don't count on it)... Right now I can fit one or two of your characters on the late September show without a problem. So if you want us to tentatively plan for that, then you can see how things are going with FPJ, rosterwise, around mid-late August and let me know who you want to appear on the September UBL show Also, Dave inquired about this last week and you touchd on it: Are you able to make edit packs that can be used by Max Drive owners? Could you convert your edit pack file to max format? Or vice-versa? Haha, I was actually talking to Dave the other day about if I submitted an edit, that the easiest to actually RP for (aside from JB himself) would probably be Randy Banner, since I'm usually more comfortable with less serious characters... COME ON! Randall Banner and Star Fleet are totally more then welcome in UBL ! I mean...c'mon! You have ALWAYS wanted to see a science fiction-based star fleet captain face off against an ancient delusional Roman Centurion right? It's history's greatest rivalry (aside from potatoes vs. bananas) ;D I went ahead and added FPJ to the "promotions" area along with link (I assume that's ok but i can remove the link if you want FPJ to stay under the radar). So bide your time about the decision of who to send over and know I'm very ready to get them initiated in the UBL way ("the unseeing eye" ceremony)

Then all your templates are basically already done, correct? Aside from future possible tweaks, that is. Well, I actually do most of the work and keep them all in Excel, so things would have to be copied to/edited in Notepad. Plus, I'd have to go back to the game for the appearance stuff. But otherwise, the characters I've "completed" could probably be made into templates without too much trouble. Also, Dave inquired about this last week and you touchd on it: Are you able to make edit packs that can be used by Max Drive owners? Could you convert your edit pack file to max format? Or vice-versa? YEAH! I think so. I only made a pack once (in X-Port format, but it should be able to be converted to Max Drive), when I did a JB/Rico save for a possible return to WILD that didn't happen. The thing is, there's a lot of manual h4x0ring work that needs to be done, so I didn't want to go through the trouble of doing so until a lot more edits are finished. I think it's actually more of a hassle to take a real save file and get it into the emulator, but I've never tried to do that. Right now, I've got around 25 complete (or near-complete) FPJ edits, including joshi, but I'd like to probably double that total before putting a save file together.

But otherwise, the characters I've "completed" could probably be made into templates without too much trouble. Ahh ok, right, Excel isnt as easy to convert into another text file. I DO have Excel though so you could always send me your excel file and I should hopefully be able to access and read it YEAH! I think so. I can easily transfer Xport to Max file and vice-versa so no problem there. I'll be releasing a new pack in the next two days (hopefully) so if you want me to get you an Xport version to see if you can import into your game, let me know That way you can test the will of the mighty Centurion through an FPJ gauntlet! And yeah I agree with what you're saying about releasing a pack. You don't have enough edits now to justify doing the conversion work you'd need to do. So take your time and double your edit fun before you start making a pack. When the time is right, the east wind will blow and it will be clear what you must do. Until then, I'm happy to work with templates

'kay, I doal loaded (tm Fool) the pack. I don't know if I'll ever have a use for it, but I got it anyway. The thing I'm most likely to do with it is open it in the hex editor and manually decode certain edit data, which could then be recreated in the game (which I've done for a couple of characters before).
I haven't even loaded up the emulator/FPR in two months (right after I ran the sims for the High School Musical tour final show), but I am continuing to do the edits in theory... By the time I "play" again, I'll have a number of characters to add/update. Also, whenever I do decide to make a dit oack (tm Fool again) to release, I'll actually have to create a new save file, because my original save has a bunch of other edits on it, so that's another reason why I'm waiting until more edits are done before going through the whole process.
P.S. I've actually updated the FPJ news and results up to before the PPV... I'll probably never finish Wrestlefest (well, the results are already done, but the write-ups are an entirely different thing), but whatever...

Wow, a whole new tour of FPJ up to Wrestlefest! Sweet! I hope you finish Wrestlefest too, after all these months of lead-up, I gotta see the first FPJ supershow!! GOTTA!! Randall Banner: "Make it so, #1!" Glad you got my pack, hopefully it works. I have a max drive and so I never tested to see whether the xps output files (that i get through a program on my computer) actually works. I KNOW that the xps -> max file conversions work, but not sure the other way around. So here's hoping that file actually is readable And yeah, whenever you are ready to release your pack, thats cool. But in the meantime I'll be just fine with using templates that you send once you know who you want to send over to compete here

JB, I was reviewing the next few months of Open show schedules and realized I had a minor planning snafu due to confusion. The curing of said snafu has resulted in an EXTRA MATCH SPOT open for the August show. You interested in claiming it in the name of FPJ (and undying freedom)?

August, eh? Looking at my tentative schedule, that's right in the middle of the Cruel Summer Tour. Not that I have many booking plans that far ahead (I have the next tour after Wrestlefest figured out, but anything after that is pretty open). None of that probably matters anyway, but whatever...
You have any idea what you'd want to do? Like, an FPJ offer match, or interpromotional "dream match"? I guess it'd depend on what wrestlers I'd be able to get done and to you by then, eh?

It's totally your call really . I have one match slot open that I'd love to give to at least one of your wrestlers. If you want to get me two, we can do that as well and make it an "FPJ" offer match. But if you want to start with just one, I can find a suitable opponent for them out of the two rosters (the League and the Reserves) that would meet their place on the card and be competitive and stuff. If you have any specific requests for opponents, I could grant it as long as they aren't already booked for that show.

Just to let you know, I haven't forgotten about this. I mean, I still haven't gotten squat done, but whatever... I have actually been working on the FPJ edits and the BIG SHOW~! (Wrestlefest, that is, not Paul Wight), but I'm not much closer in figuring out what character(s) I'd want to use here. I did some sims today and wasn't totally thrilled with the matches featuring edits I had done, so even my "finished" edits probably need some more work, let alone the dozens of other incomplete ones... MO! *slips on wet floor*
Also, JD~!

I appreciate the update I figured you were still contemplating who you wanted to use and I do welcome the new info. I CRAVE information much like a lemur craves awkwardly hanging upside down on a tree. Take all the time you need to test (experimenting that is, not Andrew Martin ;D) your edits and then choose who you want. The August show slot belongs to FPJ so take all the time you need in deciding who you want to occupy it. I'm really glad you're enthusiastic about this and I'm so happy to have FPJ aboard
