"The Randolph Wire"
I'm pleased to announce that four more participant slots have been revealed for the Continuum Stream!
Jason Hyde will return to the UBL to be the final participant for Block A. He was an integral part of the last two leagues run in the UBL. He debuted in the Universal Championship league in 2007 and placed third, defeating some of the top seeds like Geese Walker. He then joined the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. group to win the entire Universal Battalion League that ran throughout 2008 and 2009: being victorious in the finale match with his teammates Kyle Walker and Johnny Bingo (who...had just returned from the moon. Jean asked me to mention that.) Jason left the UBL right before it was sold to Arthur Wingate but then returned for one match in January of 2014 - getting as close as anyone at that time to defeating Joachim for his NEXUS Championship. We are very excited to have Jason Hyde back in the UBL!
Bak Fu will return to the UBL to be the second to last participant for Block D. Bak Fu was one of the few wrestlers on our roster to have been involved in the original OG-FPD promotion. Bak Fu then joined us for the Universal Championship league in 2007, making an immediate impact with his high octane offense and intimidating presence. Bak returned a few years back to challenge for Corey O'Brian's World Heavyweight Championship and put up the kind of fight that showed he's still as big a threat as ever. From a competitive perspective we are excited to have Bak Fu return. But from a medical perspective we are concerned, due to to the carnage and trail of bodies that Bak tends to leave behind. Sorry, Block D participants!
Wonderland will make his debut in the UBL to be the last participant for Block B. One of the top wrestlers in the world of the past ten years, Wonderland was actually the one to defeat Geese Walker to capture the FPCPP World Heavyweight Championship. Although they hasn't been substantiated, I have heard surprising rumors as to who was instrumental in bringing Wonderland into the UBL for this. All I know is that Wonderland bares an uncanny resemblance to former UBL NEXUS Champion Karl Wunderlin. I have attempted to ask Wonderland about that but his provided contact information lists a hole in the ground. Suffice to say, his participation in this tour should be interesting!
THRASH Ogawa is the final participant for Block C. Recently, THRASH expressed his displeasure at being 'limited' to defending his Universal Circuit Title as part of the Dimensional Tour. Arthur Wingate thought it over and has granted THRASH access to the Continuum stream, making him the only wrestler on the roster eligible to wrestle for both streams of the Collider Tour. However, since the Universal Circuit Title is not intended to be unified with the other Championships on the line in the Continuum Tour, Arthur wanted to make sure that it didn't unofficially get swept up in the competitive wave. Therefore, there has been a rule change to make sure that official Universal Circuit Title matches have a unique feel as compared to Ogawa's Continuum league matches. Circuit Title matches will now have a fifteen minute time limit as opposed to the twenty minute time limit we will be using for league matches. This will allow THRASH's efforts for that Title to stand on their own to honor the competitive intentions of that Title. Furthermore, if THRASH were to be defeated for his Circuit Title in Dimensional stream shows, he would then wrestle exclusively for the Continuum stream until the Collider Tour is over. One thing is for sure - you can't take enough fight to THRASH, he will keep asking for more. His desire to fight as many opponents as possible certainly points to his competitive fire in this league and will make him a worthy contender. Of specific interest is that he shares Block B with the man he defeated to become Circuit Champion, Tetsu Gushiken.
Block D is the only one with a final participant yet to be named. We hope to hear who that is very soon!
In the meantime, you can all expect the first event of the Dimensional stream to occur in the next two weeks!
