::Corey O'Brian was in his home office, looking directly at the camera, sighing.::
Corey O'Brian: Well, Joachim asked why I distrust him. I thought I've been clear, but it is possible that I may not have been clear enough. I have had to choose my words carefully for a long while, using ambiguity to obfuscate my meaning. So let me be crystal clear, as subtle as an atomic bomb. He seems to understand there is a difference between a lack of trust and a lack of respect. So because I know he won't take it personally, and also because I'm frankly tired about the speculation, here it is.
Corey O'Brian: Do I think Joachim is still part of DESTINY? No. Do I think it's possible he might still be? Yes, but it's possible he's not aware of it either. But that possibility is, in my read of the situation, a low probability. It's not zero, but it's not enough for me to presume he is still with DESTINY. ThunderStrike and Alicia trusted you enough to have that closed doors match with you, which they certainly wouldn't have done if they believed you were still with them. That's a better case than anything anyone, especially you, have made towards that.
Corey O'Brian: But it's the arguments you make towards your leaving DESTINY that make me trust you less and less every time you protest about it. Because here's the thing: even if I knew, for a one-hundred percent verifiable fact, that you were not with them anymore? If that nonzero chance was zero? I still wouldn't trust you. It isn't about DESTINY, and the more you try to make it about DESTINY, the more I wonder what exactly you are hiding.
Corey O'Brian: Like you said, Joachim, I've been in this business a long time and I have a long memory. Betrayal, scheming, politics, hidden agendas, these are things that I could go on for hours about times I've seen them all over the years. Times I personally have been burned by those very same things. Like I've said, repeatedly, I don't trust many people. I'm not going to, but if I were to list the names of people I trust, not just in UBL, not just in wrestling, but in life in general, you'd be surprised at how short it is.
Corey O'Brian: So there's your reason. I don't trust you because I don't trust people easily. Call me paranoid, call me jaded, call me a cynic. You wouldn't be entirely wrong on either of those. But I'll tell you this, Joachim. You offered me two pieces of wisdom, I'll give you one more valuable than either.
Corey: If you stay in this industry long enough, you might never agree with my lack of trust, but you will understand it.
