----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*The fans are once again packed into the "Battle Chamber" annex to the Peter Venkman Memorial Arena for the second official show of the Universal Battle League! We some some fan made signs in the audience like: "Nick Strife for 2008", "Naja got KTFO'd", "Centurion = jobber", and my personal favorite: "I'm a chanter, clap clap clapclapclap"...yeah, that's what the fool actually WROTE on the sign Bet those people next to him wish they waited like another minute to get online tickets...*
*Jason Hyde makes his way down to the ring to a nervous reaction from the crowd. He passes a "Protect ya neck, Jase!" sign and knowingly nods. The crowd's anxious murmurs then turn to SILENCE as Bak Fu stalks his way to ringside. a sense of urgency reflecting in his movements. It was two weeks ago that he suffered a loss at the hands of Marauder that shocked many people, and tonight he has come back looking more intense then ever...to the likely unfortunate fate of Jason Hyde's body. But Jason does not let the focused Fu intimidate him, and immediately gets ready for confrontation.*
Match #1 - Jason Hyde vs. Bak Fu
Jason starts off the match attempting to use his quickness to his advantage, but is quickly showed that Bak Fu can match his speed, and outmatch his power and striking ability. Middle kick after middle kick attempts from Jason are caught by Bak Fu, with him sending them back with interest: ELBOWS to the face. Jason is rocked back into the ropes and Bak follows, but Jason uses his lucha abilities and is able to "619" himself using the ropes to surprise and dropkick Bak. Bak steps back and applauds the innovative maneuver...but then gets serious. "Double leg takedown" serious. Bak proceeds to dominate Jason on the ground, smashing his head and back with elbows and contorting his body. Jason finally is able to exploit a brief opening and roll his body to the ropes, forcing Bak off...Or at least so he thought, as Bak takes advantage of the "5 second break" rule and GRABS Jason away from the ropes from behind...immediately launching into a fierce exploder! Jason grabs his head and neck and it looks like Bak is just getting started.
And that he was...as the next five minutes of the match consist of Bak throwing Jason all over the ring, with Jason mounting minimal offence to fight him off, but being caught off guard as Bak always finds a way to once again grab him and drop him in new ways. The only constant is WHERE he drops him on: that being his head and neck. Jason is being manhandled when he finally rolls out of the ring to catch a breather, only to find Bak going airboune in his pursuit! But Jason, knowing a thing or two about aerial maneuvers, is actually able to meet Bak in the air with a beautiful flipping dropkick! This turns the tide of the match as Jason rolls Bak in and begins working on his leg, feverishly, trying to take away some of Bak explosiveness Jason then tries to lock in the "Nowhere to Hyde" but Bak manages to kick him off! However Jason uses that momentum to his advantage and attempts a rebound elbow...which goes awry as Bak gets up in time to catch Jason from behind, once again, launching him on his head with the Delfin Special! Jason covers his head in pain as Bak senses the opportunity and moves in to apply the "Last Breath" Buffalo Sleeper. Jason fights to get to the ropes, but he's marooned in the middle of the ring! He refuses to submit, but the sleeper does the job for him. The referee drops Jason's hands three times as he has passed out.
Bak Fu (O) ["Last Breath" - 12:00] (X) Jason Hyde
*Bak Fu waits by the corner turnbuckle as the referee helps Jason Hyde regain consciousness. Jason begins leaving the ring, but then turns to Bak. The referee admonished Jason not to do anything stupid but Jason just nods respectfully at Bak who, after a second, returns the nod and then celebrates his victory as the fans cheer both men. Jason walks up the aisle to the back with his head figuratively held high, but his neck noticeably sore from the punishment he suffered through during the match.*
*Nick Strife makes his way down to ringside and gets a HUGE ovation. Despite the magnitude of his victory last week, even HE looks surprised as to how happy the fans are to see him and to congratulate him for beating Geese last show. Nick slaps the hands of the fans and gets more then a few slaps on the rear from the ladies. He gets into the ring and awaits his opponent, who is taking his time gett- WAIT, he just came out from under the ring! Nightmare must have been waiting there since before the show! Is this his revenge for being tricked by Nick's mentor, Twinky McLanahan, at the previous show!? Let's find out!
Match #2 - Nick Strife vs. Nightmare
It was almost as if the fans' hyper applause of Nick Strife served to NUMB him to what was happening. Cause the fans simply could not scream any harder in WARNING him about Nightmare as they could in cheering him earlier. Due to that effect, Nick was clueless as to Nightmare's presence until he felt it in the back of his head via a flying knee! And this match is ON but certainly not in the way Nick and the fans were expecting! Nightmare presses his advantage with kicks and elbows, keeping Nick off balance and out of rhythm. Nightmare is a bit more careful in using running attacks after what happened against Twinky last show, but Nick Strife does not appear to be baiting him as Twinky was...
Or so it seemed, until Nightmare goes for a flying head scissors and is caught with a sudden powerbomb by Nick as the fans go wild! But Nick is still too dazed to capitalize which is a bit of a problem cause Nightmare is even angrier then he was before, due to Nick using Twinky's gameplan! As Nightmare continues punishing Nick with chokes and MONGORIAN CHOPS!! Nightmare is tearing down Nick Strife's WALL of resistance!
Nightmare then begins targetting the neck of Nick, which went through quite a battle against OrochiGeese two weeks prior. A high speed frankensteiner followed by a British fall nets Nightmare a 2 count, but Strife begins fighting back with blistering chops and bone shattering elbows! Nick has a second wind and begins hitting lariats and dropkicks! German suplex whip for a 2! Tigerbomb for a 2.9! Nick has got his mojo back and the fans LOVE it! Nick goes up top and hits a huge elbow drop but suffers some "force feedback" after impact as he grabs his neck. Nightmare sees this and launches a flying knee AGAIN into the back of the head of Nick, sending him down. It appears OG's onslaught during their previous match may have left some lingering results and Nightmare is not one to pass up on a free gift, as we saw last week. Nightmare gears up for another flying knee, but Nick is able to use his last bit of energy to dodge to the side and CHOP Nightmare right as he's passing with the flying knee! The sound of the chop rips through the arena, with the impact doing a number on Nightmare's bare chest in the form of a huge red mark!
Nightmare holds his chest in pain as Nick goes from behind, elevated Tiger Suplex...1..2...2.9!! NO! Nick let go! He's holding his neck in pain as he was unable to hold the move due to the torque on his neck! Nightmare moves right in and grabs him for a brainbuster! Covers...only 2.9! Nick Strife kicks out and the fans holler with enthusiasm!! Suddenly, a different sound emanates from the audience, one of WARNING! What of, you ask? Of the arrival of OrochiGeese as he comes down the ramp. The referee warns Geese against interfering (odd considering who pays who's salary) but Geese just hangs back and smirks. Nightmare protests to the referee about Geese's presence but the ref (with his back to Geese) assures him things are under control. Meanwhile, Strife is attempting to get to his feet using the ropes right near Geese...resulting in an OPEN slap across Strife's face! However, this just serves to ENERGIZE Strife who then gets to his feet and points to Geese, only to get hit in the back of the head by another one of Nightmare's vicious busaiku knees! Nightmare howls, picks up the downed Strife, and then executes yet another brainbuster...this time grabbing one of Strife's legs in order to increase the momentum on the way down! He hits it, right on the back of Strife's neck and covers...1..2..3! Nightmare has won!
Nightmare (O)
*Earning redemption, Nightmare leaves without incident as Nick Strife is down on the mat clutching his neck, There is no doubt that the previous match with Geese, and the distraction tonight, affected Strife, but Nightmare was no slouch in finishing the job on an injured opponent. However, just cause Nightmare left without incident, doesn't mean Nick is safe as Geese is now licking his chops (figuratively, of course) at the opportunity in front of him. Geese gets into the ring and wastes no time in dropping elbows on Nick Strife's neck. But that is just the start as Geese then picks him up, grabs him, roars, and then DRIVES Strife into the mat with the "Raging Bolt". Nick is clutching his neck rolling on the ground as Twinky McLanahan and Bak Fu then run out to fend Geese off. Geese, who is about to have a match himself, is smart enough to leave the ring to avoid a 2 on 1 as they begin to collect their fallen ally. An angry Bak Fu goes around the ring to chase Geese but not before security comes out to take Bak backstage, allowing Geese to get off free from his revenge attack on Strife as he gloats. OrochiGeese's opponent, Naja Mask, comes to ringside but before he gets in, OG waves him off and grabs a microphone.*
OG: "Here is the situation. Next week, you and Marauder face those two punks Thunder Strike and Jason Hyde at the June Open show. It is in BOTH our interests for you and Marauder to win that match and injure those two. I know it is also in your capacity, even in your injured state."
Naja: "My body no longer hurtsssss."
OG: "Thunder Strike knocked you out last show with the Thunder Clap, don't you DARE try to bluff me. You're a snake but I'm a DRAGON of chaos, I know your games. Now, if you get in here and lie down, I will quickly pin but not harm you. Then you can be at full strength for next week. Do we have a deal?"
*OG holds out his hand as Naja Mask slowly gets into the ring. He points to the ground and Geese nods, with a smirk. Naja goes to shake his hand and then SCHMOOSH!!! (or whatever the sound of POISON MIST sounds like!) Right in the eyes!! Looks like Geese has his answer but he doesn't look happy!*
Match #3: OrochiGeese vs. Naja Mask
Naja doesn't stop there as he begins unloading with his own style of MONGORIAN chops as well as horizontal chops to the neck. He paces himself as his movement is a bit slower then last show when he was knocked out, but his killer instinct is still intact. Even if his endurance isn't...which proves to be the downfall here. As his injuries and worn down state have affected his breathing ability. Also, his assault on OrochiGeese was simply not long enough or powerful enough to keep him down...but it was deceitful enough to ROYALLY piss him off. Not something you want on your conscience when you're busy sucking in air.
A quick uraken makes OG's anger known, sending Naja down to the mat. OG begins kicking Naja hard in the stomach and chest area, making it even harder for a masked Naja to breathe. OG mounts Naja and uses a rear naked choke variation: using one hand under the throat and the other on Naja's Mask to impair his vision. OG lets go, drags Naja to his feet and irish whips him to the ropes...except that since Naja's mask is on improperly, Naja ends up running to the corner instead. In a rare moment of levity, OG shrugs his shoulders and follows him to the corner. He then drops Naja face and chest first on the ring post and turnbuckle, respectively. Naja looks like he's about to lose consciousness, but OG appears to want to take full credit for ending it. He then slaps on the "Chaos Mutilation," again forcing the air out of Naja's body and pressuring the neck until Naja passes out. The ref raises OG's hand and OG signals for a mic.
OrochiGeese (O) [Chaos Mutilation- 7:55] (X) Naja Mask
*OG then grabs Naja by the throat and speaks into the mic.*
OG: "The only reason I won't finish you off right now is cause I still want you to face Thunder Strike and Jason Hyde. But if you EVER blow mist in my eyes again, I will break your fucking ne-."
*Naja, having been awakened while in a threatened position, does what any good snake would...SHOOT venom mist right into OG's eyes for the second time tonight! OG stumbles back as Naja rolls out of the ring and starts crawling to the back. After clearing the mist from his eyes, OG goes to find him but it is too late, he has escaped. OG curses Naja's name and goes backstage to the laughter of the crowd.*
*Brief commercial break for Orochi-O's Land*
*After a brief intermission for the fans, Centurion comes out to the fan chant of "HE'S A JOB-BER, CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP." Centurion waves them off and concentrates on the task to come as Jack Dod emerges from the backstage area to a mixed reaction of boos and even some cheers. Jack looks a bit confused by the cheers but seems to enjoy being appreciated until he then steals some food from one of his supporters in the front row and goes back to being severely booed. Jack looks happier WITH the food though, so I'd say it was worth it. Meanwhile, Centurion starts shouting out "BARBARIAN" to Jack Dod, which just elicits a minor eyebrow raise from Jack. He gives a "who, me?" innocent expression causing Centurion to get even more angry. But the fun is just beginning! As Jack Dod screams out: "You wanna see some Barbarians? THOSE are barbarians!" and then makes a gesture towards the back and...wtf?
From the back comes Caleb Dod dressed as the Berzerker and Ronnie Dod dressed as Mantaur! They are trouncing around like actual barbarians and Centurion is NOT happy with this at all! TheDod- Barbarians are even "pillaging" some of the personal items of the fans at ringside! This is...this is madness...this is war...this is UBL!! (THAT was hype). After the barbaric display is over, Jack gives a hearty belly laugh and then gets into the ring. Centurion goes right after him and this match starts NOW!*

*Centurion's spirit was in full force but he simply did not have an answer to Jack Dod's superior wrestling and mental game...and bozac kicks. Not too many people have answers to those. Jack Dod leaves the ring victorious, choosing not to do any further harm to someone he does not deem a real threat. However, the fans do applaud Centurion's effort and some of the "jobber" chants are drowned out by cheers. The rest of the crowd, and likely fellow league wrestlers, grows uneasy at the fact Jack Dod is now 2-0.*
Jack Dod (O) [ Dodsmack - 15:44 ] (X) Centurion
*An angry Twinky McLanahan comes out next, waiting for the opportunity to avenge Nick Strife against Geese through his proxy, Flip Staley. Twinky also wants to even the score against Flip for the cheap shot at the last show when Twinky actually came to Flip's aid against Jack Dod during a post match attack, only to get struck in the back of the head by Flip! Flip comes to the ring with a questionable agenda: Will he aim primarily to beat or injure Twinky? Either method would help Geese's prospects, but what has Geese told him to do? And will Flip even have the luxury of choice in the face of Twinky's anger! Let's find out!

*Twinky leaves the ring with a stoic look on his face. He has made it through yet another of Geese's trials but does not look eager to celebrate due to what happened to his student, Nick Strife, earlier tonight. Still, with Twinky going 2-0 so far, Geese can not be entirely happy with how things are going. And it is clear that Flip did not do any long term damage to Twinky as well as Geese may have instructed him to do.*
Twinky McLanahan (O) [Volcanic Eruption - 16:32 ] (X) Flip Staley
*And it is time for the final match of the evening which features two UBL originals - Thunder Strike and Marauder. Each man has held both of the UBL Championships, the singles and tag. Each man has faced the best UBL has had to offer when run by the Yoshidas. And each man now has something to prove. As Marauder seeks to defend his 2006 Universal Championship reign and Thunder Strike seeks to win it to get revenge on Orochi Geese. Marauder wants to get revenge against Thunder Strike for knocking out Naja Mask last show with the "Thunder Clap." Marauder and Naja mask are tag partners and Marauder was incensed at his former rival Thunder Strike for KO'ing him. We saw how that helped motivat Marauder to defeat Bak Fu last show, and now he can finally face Thunder Strike himself to make him answer for it. Both men come down to the ring completely focused, showing no signs of emotion. But we know Marauder is about ready to take Thunder Strike to the limit, and Thunder Strike will not back down one inch from the huge monster Marauder. They immediately start the match, not waiting for the referee!*

The
