Universal Champion show - August 12th, 2007.
Tonight's Matches:
1 - Bak Fu vs. Centurion
2 - *Jason Hyde vs. Nightmare
3 - *Thunder Strike vs. Flip Staley
4 - *Nick Strife vs. Marauder
5 - *Twinky McLanahan vs. Naja Mask
6 - *OrochiGeese vs. Jack Dod

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*The sixth show of the Universal Champion singles league is knocking on our door and who are WE to refuse it entry and not offer it some light refreshments out of the spirit of good hospitality!! Speaking of someone who REALLY knows how to make a guy feel welcome, here's Jean Carter!
Jean: "I don't appreciate the connotation but its great to be here in humid New York as the summer trudges on! But what isn't trudging on is this exciting league which, in its sixth week, finally has a single standings leader in Jack Dod! But will he be able to defend his undefeated streak and current leading position after his match with Geese tonight? I spoke to a few fans earlier today. Roll the tape, Beatrice!"
*Footage rolls of Jean interviewing some five year olds.*
Jean: "Who do YOU thing will win tonight's epic match? Dod or Goose?"
Kid 1: "Gooses are silly!!"
Kid 2: "I don't want to be here, i want to play with toys."
Kid 3: "You're not my mommy. Stop sleeping with my da-"
*We immediately go back to Jean live at the arena as she has an uncomfortable look on her face*
Jean: "That's some hard-hitting journalism there, eh? I'll be back throughout the show with more fan interviews! Don't forget to cut back to me as I get paid with each aired inter-"
*Jean's mic is cut as its doubtful we'll hear from her again. But what is LESS doubtful is that its time to get to our first match of the evening. Both competitors are already in the ring!*
*Centurion is staring rather uneasily at Bak Fu is is returning the stare with stoic calm. Bak Fu won in the main event of the previous show over Twinky McLanahan in an encounter that has been hailed as a "Wow, that match look like it REALLY hurt both guys" match! Will the beating that Bak Fu absorbed slow him down enough for Centurion to FINALLY get a win in this league? Or will Bak Fu, mindful of his own possible physical limits (and I emphasize the "POSSIBLE" part) look to try for a quick win to avoid any chance of dealing with fatigue and allow him to heal up for the following show?*
Match #1 - Bak Fu vs. Centurion
If you guessed the latter option, HUZZAH! Pass go and collect $200!!!! As Bak Fu immediately pounces on an unprepared Centurion with a KENTA! rush. And despite Centurion's noted defensive success against striking due to his armor, its clear that Bak isn't trying to HURT him but rather, stun and confuse him in order to get him off guard. Bak seems willing to even absorb the impact of his limbs ON the armor which is a bit scary considering the hurting Twinky put on his arms two weeks prior. But Bak's pain threshold is perhaps the highest in this league so it should be to no one's surprise that he doesn't even need to wring out his arms before he then IMMEDIATELY lifts Centurion up and drops him down his head with his "Hellbound" finisher. Is that it? Yep...yep, it is. Show of hands: Who thought Centurion was winning this? ...
Get out. No seriously, thanks for coming...but wtf?
Bak Fu (O) [ "Hellbound" - :10] (X) Centurion
*Bak Fu leaves the ring to massive fan support as he has been on a quite a streak ever since his rage kicked in due to Jack Dod's questionable victory over him a few weeks back. Bak isn't out of striking distance of getting to the top of this league either and the rest of the participants should take notice!*
*The OrochiTron turns on and we see another prior recorded interview with Jean Carter. This time she's talking to Orochi Army members Mr. Clyde and Mr. Figaro*
Jean: "So..."
Mr. Clyde: "Do you REALLY think we're gonna pick Geese to lose tonight?"
Mr. Figaro: "I wasn't paying attention to the question. But if the answer is "5 times and she buys me breakfast" then we're good to go, eh lil buddy!" *Whispers: "Just don't tell Kim!"
Mr. Clyde: "Stop calling me lil buddy. But if you want a serious answer, Miss Carter, here it is. The fact is that Geese has been borderline homicidal all week. All his pent up aggression WILL be released tonight. I don't envy Jack Dod's position, nor that of Tommy Fiero or Flip Staley's either. This is a VERY bad time to get in Geese's way and I think Jack is gonna find that out the hard way...by being dropped on his head."
Mr. Figaro: "I'm just glad to be here, Jean! Woo!! Go Team!!"
Jean: "Harsh words. Harsh, incomprehensible words."
The video ends and we go back to the ring where Jason Hyde is warming up across the ring from Nightmare. Both men were on the losing ends of their matches but still managed to impress the audience with their tenacity, especially Jason Hyde who went over twenty minutes with Nick Strife and came close to winning on many occasions. Let's see which one of these men can get back on the road to victory...where there are no tollbooths but plenty of [insert your fast food chain of choice] rest stops!

Another hard fought match by both competitors with striking that set the crowd ablaze with energy and enthusiasm! No seriously, some idiot set his pants on fire and Rows 2-3 had to be evacuated for a few minutes. But once that was taken care of, the crowd enjoyed the agility as well as the aerial and striking prowess of both men. But in the end, Jason Hyde looked to be a bit hungrier for this victory .
Jason Hyde (O) ["Quicksilver Cascade"- 14:41] (X) Nightmare
*Another Orochi-Tron video airs as Jean Carter is standing near a bunch of fans in Bills uniform, Only, instead of actual NFL player's names, all of the uniforms have a different named Dod on it. And yes, "Buffalo Dod" uniforms can be found at the concession stand for $30. Get yours NOW!"*
Jean: "Hey guys, have you all come down from Buffalo?"
Guy #1: "Wooooo!! GO BILLS!! GO BUFFALO!! GO DODS!!"
Guy #2: "Jack Dod IS Buffalo. That and wings!! Jean, we need more wings! Get us more wings, hon!"
Jean: "Honey bbq wings? Huh?"
Guy #3: "Yeah! And hey Jean, Jack Dod's gonna put a buffalo style wing-lickin on that Goose fella!"
Jean: "I don't think Jack is into that..."
Guy #1: "GO DOD!"
Jean: "Ok-"
Guy #2: "Woooooo!"
*The video cuts off as Jean runs away scared that she's about to get slapped by his "wing hand". This of course, brings over OrochiGoose to the crowd and the gentlemen quiet down considerably*
The next match is set to begin as both competitors come to the ring. Flip Staley is a bit surprised to get such a reaction but grins when he sees some "OG got Flip'd" and "OG Flipped out" signs. The "Staley beat Geese" sign wasn't quite as creative or catchy so it got ignored and its creator sighed. Thunder Strike didn't get much reaction as the fans seemed more into Flip, which didn't seem to annoy Thunder Strike as much as motivate him to get this match started. A comment of: "Yeah, beating Geese's face looked as fun as you looked, too bad you'll probably not be able to do it" from Flip wasn't appreciated by Thunder Strike, and caused the two to start battling right away before the ref's instructions! Let's get to it!

Thunder Strike looked as motivated as ever in this match. Perhaps he was jealous of Flip's beating of Geese, or perhaps he brought his striking game to a whole new level in order to combat Flip's equivalent stand-up skills. Due to his own fighting career, Thunder Strike was one of the few UBL wrestlers that was not intimidated by Flip's MMA experience, and that likely allowed him to neutralize it and shift the match to his own unique mix of fast pace and high impact, culminating in the rare but powerful "Thunder Clap."
Thunder Strike (O) ["Thunder Clap- 14:45] (X) Flip Staley
*As Thunder Strike is celebrating, none other then OrochiGeese comes out, flanked by Mr. Figaro and Mr. Clyde, and a microphone...which is actually in OG's hands rather then walking alongside the other two..*
OrochiGeese: "Congratulations are in order. A match well played by both men as is clear by the applause of our audience. *OG mockingly delivers applause* Well done Thunder Strike for not only helping to make me RICHER with your performances, but also to help my violent agenda. In this case, one of punishment."
*Thunder Strike sneers at Geese but then looks a bit confused*
OrochiGeese: "Oh, you hadn't heard? I guess between "secret black ops" missions and training to make Alicia Gordon something other then a threat to herself, you somehow missed my recent announcement. You see, Flip Staley has been added to "the list". Yes, the same list that includes you, Tommy Fiero, Jack Dod, Twinky McLanahan, the '93 Dallas Cowboys, makers of Spam, and so many other petty annoyances."
*Thunder Strike gets a look of impatience on his face*
OrochiGeese: "But what I hadn't counted on was YOU helping me out! You see, even though I realize you were just trying to get a win to advance your hopeless dreams of winning this league, I actually derived pleasure from your beating of Flip, a man that deserves beheading for his actions. How does that make you feel, Thunder Strike? Knowing that your violence entertained ME and helped my agenda?"
*Thunder Strike is getting increasingly agitated*
OrochiGeese: "That's the truly beautiful effect of this league of which I mentioned from the start. I created this chaos and I get to watch all the radical forces bouncing against and injuring each other for my amusement. Ever think your kicks or *OG does mocking quote fingers* "Thunder Clap" would provide me with more pleasure then you? Ever think that I'd be deriving far more enjoyment from every groan on your opponent's face then you? No, you didn't. But thanks for doing it just the same, you're a stand up guy."
*OrochiGeese lets out a maniacal laugh and begins walking backstage before turning around*
OrochiGeese: "I came out here to let you know I haven't forgotten about you, Thunder Strike. So thank for giving me a reason to come out here to let you know...*OG chokes back mocking tears* I still care..."
*OG looks sympathetic and then starts maniacally laughing again, this time Figaro joins in with mock "adoration" gestures aimed at Thunder Strike as Thunder just seethes in the ring.*
*We get a highlight reel of the issues and challenges between OrochiGeese and VWA owner Tommy Fiero*
After that commercial break, we get back to the ring and see Nick Strife and Marauder warming up. These have been two of the heaviest hitters of this league and two men that are well in the running to get to first place if they can keep adding victories. But fate (who doubles as "random number generator") has them squaring off against each other tonight. However, Marauder had the easier victory last show due to Naja Mask's desire to give him the guaranteed, quick win, whereas Nick Strife had to work for his victory. Has Nick recovered enough to be at full strength? On the flip side, did Marauder's "week off" cause him to lose the competitive rhythm and momentum one needs in this constant league? Let's find out!

Marauder had the advantage early on due to his punishing onslaught of constant offense against a man as fatigued as Nick Strife. But after being bloodied and battered, a switch turned on in Nick Strife's head...or more accurately, HEART, and he fought back harder then ever in order to get this HUGE come back victory and make Marauder tap out!! Nick Strife just showed the same courage and resiliency as he showed when he beat Geese in the first match of this league. Let's see if he can continue it! Meanwhile, Marauder is going to have to dig deep to get the momentum back that he had at the start of this league.
Nick Strife (O) ["Vice Grip" - 21:49] (X) Marauder
*But it looks Nick Strife's challenges for the night aren't over as Marauder's teammate, Naja Mask, runs to the ring and immediately blinds Nick Strife with the Poison Mist!! Marauder begins yelling at Naja for doing it but Naja doesn't listen and continues beating on Nick until...HERE COMES THE CALVARY!! It's Twinky McLanahan, Nick's mentor, and Naja's opponent for the next match!! Twinky comes in and immediately begins battling with Naja. He throws him out of the ring and then starts attacking Marauder, but Marauder is just backing away claiming he has no responsibility for Naja's attack on Strife! But Twinky is yelling that he didn't try to stop it! Marauder exits the ring, tired from his match and not possessing any real desire to attack Twinky. However, Twinky is distracted from arguing wtih Marauder so he doesn't see Naja Mask gets back into the ring behind him !! Naja jumps Twinky!! The ref decides to just ring the bell cause this IS our next match afterall!! So let's see just what kind of advantage Naja's cowardly attack has given him!*

The pre-match attack didn't give Naja the victory but it certainly helped him be quite competitive against the former, never beaten, PW-W UWH Champion Twinky McLanahan. Despite the loss, this was one of Naja's better matches but "better" isn't good enough when facing Twinky. One needs to be at their very best, and even THEN, that's no guarantee they can defeat the founder of Snack Road. Twinky leaves the ring, shaking his head in disgust at Naja and the recent chicanery in the UBL, and goes backstage to the applause of the crowd...except the Buffalo fans who clearly aren't fans of their hero's archenemy.
Twinky McLanahan (O) ["Powerbomb" - 19:02] (X) Naja Mask
*And now it is time for the main event and the crowd is buzzing with excitement. Jack Dod's theme hits as the crowd is split in booing, smattering of cheers, and uncomfortable respect for the man who has taken over this league in terms of wins and losses. Jack points to the Buffalo fans and graciously thanks them with gestures while giving slightly DIFFERENT hand gestures to the rest of the crowd, while smiling. Next, "Seized with Fury" hits as OrochiGeese comes out to ringside with a twisted look on his face.*
There's no more of the mocking playfulness in OG that we saw earlier against Thunder Strike, just sheer intensity as his eyes are bulging out and appear to be red. Jack just taunts him by mimicking OG's "intensity" and then acting scared. It's clear Jack is ready to play mind games to try to use Geese's anger and emotions against him. But it is also clear that OG isn't letting Jack's current actions get to him, as he is simply ignoring everything Jack is now doing. He wants to take revenge for many things and is not allowing himself to fall prey to Jack's misdirection tactics. So it is now time for two of the most dangerous competitors to ever step into a ring to battle each other. Jack's undefeated streak and status as sole leader in this league will be on the line, while OG has at stake a crucial victory against a top opponent and perhaps, most of all, his pride after being continually embarrassed by Jack Dod over the last two years. Whose ambition will win out!? Whose skills will overcome? And just what will happen in this match that will give either of them anough of an advantage to win!? Click below to learn of our futures and witness truth!!

And despite hating both men, the crowd is on their feet due to this match!! And most are wondering the same thing: How was Jack Dod's neck not BROKEN from that avalanche tombstone piledriver!?! That was no doubt the turning point of the match as OrochiGeese was then able to take advantage with a punishing array of neck-breaking offense against Jack. But in spite of suffering the "Flash through Sky" immediately after the tombstone, and enduring minutes of neck-breaking offense, Jack soon battled back! As he then fought as hard as he could to regain control, even getting close to victory on a few occasions before almost sealing it with a Dodsmack! But this was to be a night where Geese reached down deeper then ever before as he managed to miraculously kick out of the subsequent pin! Sensing the desperation of the situation, OrochiGeese was able to knock Jack down shortly after and then sink in that debilitating injury-exploiter, the Orochi Crossface! Jack had no choice but to tap soon or risk injuy due to the pain his neck must have been in at that point. You could see the tough choice Jack had to make. In fact, he even waved the referee off the first time he checked with Jack. But even with his undefeated streak in jeopardy, Jack risked much more in not tapping. As tied for first with a healthy, healed neck is a whole lot better then being injured in a match and not able to compete to finish the league. Jack made a tough decision here but a smart one. And OrochiGeese picked up the win with one of the most violent maneuvers we have ever seen from him in his entire career by using that avalanche tombstone piledriver. He promised violent carnage and he delivered it. And then he capitalized on it by following with the dangerous Crossface for the win.
OrochiGeese(O) ["Chaos Crossface" - 20:35] (X) Jack Dod
*But this is NOT over as Jack Dod is clutching his neck in pain while still in the presence of a bloodthirsty Geese. That is the equivalent of painting your body red and going outside in Pamplona, folks. Geese begins stomping away at Jack's neck and he looks like he is in just the mood to attempt to forcefully eliminate Jack from the UBL. But just as OG is setting Jack up for what LOOKS to be a "Raging Bolt", Thunder Strike runs down the aisle and gets into the ring! In fact, right as OG has Jack in the powerbombset-up position, Thunder Strike LAUNCHES over Jack and into OG with a "Cacopho-knee," knocking OG backwards!! Thunder Strike chases OG out of the ring and it appears that Jack Dod is safe from Geese's predatory intentions. Thunder Strike looks Jack over to see how badly he's injured but that ends up being a mistake as Jack pokes him in the eye! Did Jack think it was Geese or did he just want to be a dick!? It's Jack Dod, who needs an explanation for one of his eye pokes!! Not content with just an eye poke, Jack manages to gather his strength and hit a DodSmack on Thunder Strike!! Jack Dod is laughing all the way to the bank!!
*But someone's about to make him wait in line before making a withdrawal!! Who!? Noted *bank enthusiast Twinky McLanahan who...as I CLEARLY foreshadowed before...is TIRED of all these UBL pre/post match shenanigans!! Twinky runs down to the ring and starts chopping the hell out of Jack Dod, not even caring about the punishment Jack suffered at the hands of Geese. Meanwhile, no one notices Geese getting into the ring as he's snuck in near where Thunder Strike was down and has begun throwing mounted elbows onto him!! Twinky hits a sequence of chops which backs Jack up against the corner and then LAUNCHES an elbow which sends Jack careening over the ropes! Twinky then goes over to throw Geese off of Thunder Strike!! Twinky is stomping around MAD AS HELL AND HAS EXPRESSED INTEREST IN NOT TAKING IT MORE!! He then helps Thunder Strike up, to much gratitude, while Geese and Jack are on opposite sides of the ring: each seething at pretty much everyone else!! This is absolute MAYHEM, folks! Carnage!! Hell...even CHAOS!! So much so that Geese is pointing to the three other men and making "throat cut" motions. But the camera fades out to the vision of Twinky and Jack locked in a stare of intensity and future showdown!
And we'll see you in two weeks folks as believe it or not, the main event then is Jack Dod vs. Twinky McLanahan!! Who'd imagine that all this crazy post-main event stuff would have a purpose!?! See ya then!
