[MJC:] "And we've got a hot night of action for you, UBL fans! With just one show left after tonight, the implications of tonight's standings will be of particular significance. Many already know that their quest for the Universal Champion 2007 Title has been declared as, the dreaded, "statistically impossible." But there are actually seven wrestlers left who still have a potential shot at either outright winning the league or being part of a tiebreaker Championship match to be held at the 12/13 show. Twinky McLanahan, as he has done in previous weeks, is currently leading the league with an unmatched seven wins. Meanwhile OrochiGeese, Thunder Strike, Jack Dod, Jason Hyde, and Bak Fu currently have six wins. Marauder has five and is not totally out of the running yet, but he has to win both of his matches in the next few weeks while other leaders have to lose. So he is gonna need a lot of luck, especially considering that his opponent tonight is Twinky McLanahan! As for the rest of our leaders, they will have some key matches in the next two shows, especially Thunder Strike who faces Bak Fu tonight and OrochiGeese next show."
Wow, thanks Miss Carter! I haven't seen her mouth open for that long ever since...
[MJC:] "Ahhh!! Get away from me!"
Geez, what (or who) got into her? Anyway, we start tonight with the HERO of the previous two shows, Jason Hyde, kicking the action off. Whether Drake Yoshida wanted to open the show with a crowd favorite, or OrochiGeese wanted to keep Jason away from the main event where he's done his best work, it is clear that the fans are happy to see Jason at any time now after his two epic, career-making performances over the last month. A large portion of the audience is wearing: "Nowhere to Hyde from Justice" shirts and Jason is somewhat overcome by the huge ovation he is getting as makes his way through the arena curtains. (along with the large portion of female fans offering him entry into THEIR curtains). Jason now holds victories over OrochiGeese and Jack Dod, albeit the latter one being by DQ, and is being received as a genuine top star by these fans. Meanwhile, Naja Mask comes to the arena, hissing at Jason and insinuating that Jason got lucky. Jason just rolls his eyes as it is hard to take criticisms seriously from someone who only won ONE match (against Centurion no less) this league considering the top performance that Jason has put on. Nevertheless, while Jason may be ignoring Naja's remarks, he does appear fully ready for the match. That is because Naja has shown signs of being extremely dangerous when he is focused, and even holds an impressive tag team victory over Jason in the first UBL Open show in July. Jason would love to avenge that loss and further his league record, and now is the opportunity to do it!

And Jason Hyde continues his amazing streak of victories here in UBL! He finished a scrappy Naja Mask off by hitting his Shooting Star Press, that he calls Soar, after a close match. While it's clear that Jason's previous two matches have definitely taken their toll on his overall energy level, we can not sell Naja's efforts short. He put up quite a fight and almost took the match with his Fang Cutter late in the match, only to be shocked when Jason kicked out. From then on, it was all Jason who was able to muster up a last ditch effort to put away this snake among men!
Jason Hyde (O) ["Soar" - 14:26] (X) Naja Mask
What this victory means is that Jason Hyde is now tied with Twinky McLanahan as the man with the most wins in the league! However, since this show is just getting started and there are plenty of other top contenders with matches to be had, it is unclear as to how the night will end, rankings wise. But Jason Hyde has got to be proud of his efforts, especially in the last month. Jason, a man whom OrochiGeese only allowed into the UBL for the express purpose of ending his career, is now a top candidate for winning this very league!
But as inspiring as Jason's story is, as was shown through our previous match, our next match illustrates a heartbreaking one. The OrochiTron quickly plays a video of the previous show where Jack Dod, in the alllltimate act of heinosity, used brass knuckles to fracture the kneecaps of Nick Strife, his scheduled opponent for tonight. Nick has been medically cleared for this match, solely out of threats of violence to his doctor if he wasn't allowed to even ATTEMPT to get ready for tonight. UBL Sergeant Drake Yoshidasaid it was up to Nick if he wants to try to wrestle. And Nick's mentor, Twinky McLanahan, has been in the lockerroom with him all night discussing matters: noting that as bad an injury as Nick already has, it could turn into a career ending one if he's not careful tonight. As much as Nick wants to get out there and get revenge on Jack, Twinky's role as a mentor here is quite clear and his advice should probably be heeded. But if Nick follows that course of action, then Jack walks away with an easy victory and no punishment for his crimes against Nick and the very spirit of competition! Can he really escape this situation so easily!?
Jack Dod expects to do exactly that, as the smirk on his face indicates while he stands in the middle of the ring, waiting for an opponent that can't walk. It was clear from Jack's relaxed, almost airy nature, as he strolled down to the ring that he was not anticipating this charade taking very long. Drake would just come out and declare him the winner, he thought However, to everyone's surprise, Nick Strife's music plays...but out steps out Twinky McLanahan!! Before he can advance up the ramp to Jack Dod, Drake Yoshida runs out to stop him.
[Drake:] "Wait. I need to know if Mr. Strife can compete tonight?"
*Twinky lowers his head and nods no*
[Drake:] "Then, regrettably, he will have to forfei-"
*Twinky grabs Drake's mic out of his hands and points to Jack Dod
[Twinky:] "You, me. Match. NOW!"
*The crowd erupts in excitement at Twinky's challenge but Drake looks wide-eyed*
[Drake:] "Are you saying, you want to stand-in for Nick Strife?"
*Twinky shakes his head yes.*
[Drake:] "I will be right back, I have to work something out. Do not move from this spot or else the match will not take place."
*Drake leaves for the backstage area as Twinky and Jack have a good three minute staredown where neither of them blink, and the crowd is silently in awe at their intensity and skill in not blinking! Drake comes back, but not before Jack loses his part in the staring contest!*
[Drake:] "Fine. Twinky McLanahan will wrestle in Nick Strife's place. However, it is Nick's record that will be affected. If Twinky wins, Nick receives the victory. You lose, and Nick loses. I should also remind you that- never mind"
Drake cuts himself off as he sees Twinky walking to the ring. Whether he doesn't expect to lose or simply is tired of listening to Drake, it is clear that the most important thing on Twinky's mind now is beating the hell out of Jack Dod. the fans are partying like "Christmas 2" has just been declared...and held today!! And that is because they get a bonus chapter of the epic Twinky McLanahan vs. Jack Dod feud: this match being a direct result of Jack Dod's own nefarious actions! Perhaps Jack Dod finally regrets what he did, as he now has to face his greatest rival and a man who has beaten him on multiple occasions, rather then having to face upstart Nick Strife! Did Jack Dod's plan backfire? Or is Twinky putting too much on his plate? Cause in addition to this match, he still has HIS scheduled match with Marauder later tonight! Has his desire for justice and retribution blinded him to his own best interests? Or can only Twinky f'n McLanahan know what matters to him! Yeah! I'm getting pumped just babbling all about this! And so will you (get pumped, that is, not babble!) when you watch their match!

That dastardly Jack Dod!! He just cheated two men out of the match at the same time! By getting Twinky disqualified while feigning that Twinky had hit him with a chair, he also handed Nick Strife a loss in the rankings. Although quite obviously, had Twinky not stepped in to this match to begin with, Nick would have lost by forfeit on account of his injury (suffered also by Jack's actions). And having Twinky there to rough up Jack a bit, in retaliation to what Jack did to Nick had to be preferable to forfeit for Nick. Furthermore, Twinky certainly came close in this match to earning a victory for Nick but Jack, sensing that he was facing trouble, resorted to deceit and trickery! Twinky didn't really lose this match, Jack stole it from him, and appeared quite happy in doing so! (stealing is WRONG, kids!) More importantly, Jack added yet another win to his record which puts him temporarily right at the top of the league rankings!
Jack Dod (O) [Chair Illusion- 23:21] (X) Twinky McLanahan
*Jack Dod bails out of the ring and begins gloating but suddenly OrochiGeese comes out to the entrance ramp with a microphone and his own devious smile*
[OG:] "Oh how I love watching two fine men weaken each other when there is really no need for it. Twinky, foolish and gallant as always, stepping in for his fallen friend. And what do you have to show for it? Nick Strife still has a loss but now...NOW, something much MORE serious will result from your silly crusade."
*OG then turns to Jack Dod who has become a bit impatient with OG's already drawn out speech*
[OG:] "Yes, I know, Mr. Dod, you want me to get to the point. But really, I'd like to savor this, and so should you. In fact, it's a shame we agree on so little. Especially because we are, after all, very much alike. We both love chaos, we both seek to win at any cost. So how about, right now, we set aside our differences and enjoy the moment...of Twinky's great defeat. Not just by your hands, but by MINE. And I am not even referring to our match at the previous show when I made him tap out to my "Chaos Mutilation". *Geese grins widely* I am referring to my next announcement."
*OG turns back to Twinky and points to him with a mocking expression*
[OG:] "I would hate for you to show so much enthusiasm in facing someone ELSE's scheduled opponent and not leave any for the man YOU were set to face tonight. That would be quite disrespectful, don't you think? So while you are still passionate and no doubt angry, why don't we change your scheduled match from the main event slot later tonight...to right NOW."
*Jack Dod smiles widely while Twinky looks infuriated*
[OG:] "What? You're not fond of the idea? That is quite too bad, cause I am. You see, I was so greatly anticipating your scheduled match with Marauder, and I don't think I can wait another MINUTE for that after seeing your display just seconds ago. With your current intensity. it should be an epic match! After all, Marauder was last year's Universal Champion and I believe he would have been quite a test for you even if you HADN'T just wrestled a match. But now, oh I know how much you LOVE proving yourself, Twinky! Showing how full of vigor and "fighting spirit" you are! And here's your chance!! After all, you enjoy being a busy man, don't you? What with all your varied hobbies and interests and businesses," eh McLanahan?"
*OG cocks his head back and laughs.*
[OG:] "We'll just see if you can maintain your lead in this league after tonight, after meddling in the affairs of other men.. As for you Jack, it is sadly time for you to leave now. Since you are set to face the Marauder next show, I'd rather you not pick up any trade secrets of his as he beats your rival DECISIVELY in ways you wish you could. But to show my gratitude for your actions in softening Twinky up, I will allow you ten seconds to leave the arena before Brickton SeCURity "escorts" you out in their style of choice. And if you don't leave, then I suggest attempting to put up a fight, cause it would be most amusing to me to see you on the receiving end of the "Smelter."
Geese goes backstage with a vile smirk on his face while Jack is smart enough to leave through the crowd before being outmanned and uh, "smelted" by the Curs. (and you can't just "walk that off!") Twinky is shaking with anger but also appears winded from his recently ended match with Jack Dod. Geese gave him no break in between matches and that can not bode well against the overwhelming force known as the Marauder, a man who holds victories over some of the best in this league even when they were fully rested and prepared for him. A man who NEEDS to achieve victory tonight in order to keep his hopes alive for winning this league and turning his Universal Champion 2006 Title into a two year reign! And now Twinky has to face this very man after wrestling a twenty minute match with his biggest rival, Jack Dod. Can Twinky pull out a miracle win or will Marauder put this one away quickly and painfully? You can never count Twinky McLanahan out, but as far as odds go, these are near insurmountable. Let's see what happens as Twinky faces the Marauder in our main event come early!

A great warrior can inspire others with his skills even in a losing effort. Twinky McLanahan did that and more. And by the end of the match, it is likely that Marauder felt he was lied to when hearing about Twinky's weakened state. For a while it was clear that although Twinky's endurance and resilience was down due to his match with Jack, his aggression was higher then we've possibly ever seen it! Twinky, sensing that his tank was running out of energy, engaged Marauder in a striking battle the likes of which we haven't seen from this league. And due to Twinky's superior striking skill and experience, he was able to weaken Marauder and went in for an early kill. But the problem for Twinky was that Marauder met that early attempt at victory with his own, as the two began throwing their strongest moves out at each other. At one point, the toll of Twinky's match with Jack Dod clearly was noticed, as Twinky was too tired to follow up his Empryean Halo finisher with a pinfall: perhaps concerned that if he went down to cover Marauder, he wouldn't have the energy to get back up if Marauder kicked out. Twinky then fought as valiantly as possible, but Marauder's high impact slams took control late in the match. And he was even able to signal victory right before setting up the "Inertian Hammer" (Polish Hammer). Marauder took this win, but not without gaining a newfound respect for Twinky McLanahan, as he looked on in shock throughout the match that Twinky was even still standing. But in the end, Marauder scored a huge victory, one that dropped Twinky from being the league leader to simply being tied for the lead with seven wins, while Marauder improves his record to an impressive and still contending six and four. But as OrochiGeese mentioned, Marauder will have to face Jack Dod next show, not to mention having to hope that other key leaders do not win their matches for the next two shows, in order for him to have a chance to force a tiebreaker. Marauder's efforts did him well tonight but he will need the same luck he got tonight in facing a tired Twinky, to lead his rivals to lose their matches as well.
Marauder O) [""Inertian Hammer"- 12:17] (X) Twinky McLanahan
*Commercials for the September Open show air and specific attention is placed on Centurion being knocked out by the "Vagabond Kick" after the shocking UBL debut of Gene Starr. The news all month is that Centurion was humiliated by what happened but did not actually suffer the concussion many have feared. Whatever full strength is for the Centurion, he's back to it...with a side order of umbrage at Gene's tactics and the fact he stole Centurion's match from him! In any case, let's go backstage to Centurion's locker room where we have Mean Jean Carter there, waiting for an interview. Jean?
[Jean:] "I can't get in."
Why the hell not?"
[Jean:] "Someone is in there with him having some kind of secret meeting. "No girls allowed", or so they say. I consider that discrimination and know my Title 9 Rights. But apparently they aren't willing to grant me them. So instead, we're gonna sneak a look."
*Jean Carter fakes a coughing fit to muffle the sound of her intrepid cameraman sneaking open the door a crack to get a shot inside the lockerroom. It appears that Thunder Strike is inside with Centurion and the two are talking somewhat heatedly as Thunder Strike is pacing around while Centurion is sitting down on a bench.*
[Thunder Strike:] "How is your health? Can you compete tonight or not?"
[Centurion:] "Yes, the vertigo is gone. I am ready to face Gene Starr."
[Thunder Strike:] "That's excellent. But what do you plan to do to OrochiGeese tonight?"
[Centurion:] "Yes, THAT is who I meant. Orochi Gene."
[Thunder Strike:] "Geese, Orochi GEESE! Get your head on straight, NOW. You saw what happened with Twinky McLanahan just a few moments ago, did you not? You are in BIG trouble tonight."
[Centurion:] "Aye, but I am not facing Marauder or Jack of Dod."
[Thunder Strike:] "What happened to Twinky tonight wasn't just because of Jack of...Jack Dod or Marauder, it was mainly due to Orochi Geese. Yes, Jack stole a victory from Twinky, and Marauder finished the job, but it was Geese who made Twinky wrestle twice in a row! What do you think will happen to YOU tonight when you face Geese? I'll tell you...MUCH worse then what Twinky had to deal with. Do you realize what is on the line in your match against Geese?"
[Centurion:] "Victory and hono-"
[Thunder Strike:] "NO! There IS no honor with Geese, don't you see!? The only thing that matters to him is his self-interest, which he will achieve at ANY cost to his opponents. What you need to realize is that Orochi Geese does not have the same code as you do."
[Centurion:] "Then he will lose."
*Thunder Strike gets a look of pure shock, followed by a bemused smile*
[Thunder Strike:] "Are you insane? Do you know what he is going to do to you? He NEEDS to win tonight to catch up to Jason, Twinky, Jack, and I. He will do ANYTHING in his power to beat you. And that means-"
[Centurion:] "Cheating?"
[Thunder Strike:] "No, not "cheating" *Thunder Strike mocks the word*. I'm talking full scale CORRUPTION. Damn it, Centurion, don't you know HOW Rome fell?"
*Centurion stands up with an offended look on his face*
[Centurion:] "Heed your words, plebian."
[Thunder Strike:] "Rome fell because of corruption in leadership. Caesar, Nero, the list goes on and on. UBL will fall because of corruption in ITS leadership too. OrochiGeese, Drake Yoshida, and um, *Thunder Strike shrugs his shoulders* Mr. Figaro are the new triumvirate of corruption! Their quest to achieve their own glory will KILL the UBL."
[Centurion:] "Then we must take them out to restore Rome to the people!"
[Thunder Strike:] "Exactly. And isn't it YOUR job as a Centurion to do just that?"
[Centurion:] "Yes! I've sworn my life to that ideal!"
[Thunder Strike:] But sometimes, just one man isn't enough to fight for justice. Sometimes you need some help. And that's why I'm here. Because the truth is that you won't get a fair shake tonight against Geese if fellow Triumvirate member Drake Yoshida is the referee."
[Centurion:] "So what do you propose to do?"
*Thunder Strike smirks and then escorts the camera man out of the room*
[Jean:] "How rude!"
