Biography:
Much of Thunder Strike's life is a closely guarded secret. Military service and special ops participation has been claimed but the extent to which is not known. All we can do is look to the periods of his life where he clearly is in the public eye to surmise what we know of his life and character.
He was born in California where he studied Tae Kwon Do at an early age alongside his friend Jang Bae. It was Jang's uncle who taught them all they know about the striking arts. Both Jang and Thunder Strike won multiple competitions across the West Coast. Shortly after graduating high school, Thunder Strike enlisted for military service and toured the world. After his initial stint was over, he chose to go to Japan to study martial arts further. While there, professional wrestling caught his eye and he started to do so part time.
However, active duty called to him again and he disappeared for another number of years, barely able to be reached by his friends and family, so says Jang Bae. When he finished up again, he went back to the United States where he helped Jang Bae open up his dojang in Los Angeles and worked as a co-instructor.
Growing a bit restless and wanting to continue his pro wrestling training, Thunder Strike returned to Japan in 1999 where he joined the Universal Battle League. Shortly after, he achieved immediate success and fan support as he teamed with Bolt to win the Universal Battalion tag league. He then went on to win the Universal Champion Title for three years straight up until 2005.
Despite his growing success, Thunder Strike started growing uneasy. Japan had recently picked up programming from OG-FPD and the wicked exploits of OrochiGeese, formerly "Bolt" were being televised. Thunder Strike was not at all happy what had become of his former teammate and wanted to step in to bring him to his senses. Unfortunately for Thunder Strike, his intentions were told to OrochiGeese by Drake Yoshida, the head of UBL. OrochiGeese then put a plan into motion that was so fiendish that it shocked the wrestling world. OG had his Tommy Fiero and Captain Kickass (a former military ally of Thunder Strike) poison Thunder Strike and then bring him into the Valiant Wrestling Alliance to be controlled and manipulated. Thunder Strike's plan was put on hold as he was made to believe that he was part of an elite group of agents necessary to stop an incoming alien invasion. In reality, this was part of Tommy Fiero's "Wrestle Wars" movie. And, unbeknownst to Thunder Strike, he became one of the actors on the movie. This also gave OrochiGeese more time in OG-FPD to prepare for the arrival of Thunder Strike.
When Wrestle Wars stopped filming, Captain Kickass let Thunder Strike leave but still kept some degree of mind control over him. However, it was not enough as Thunder Strike then came to OG-FPD Voltage to confront OrochiGeese. Eventually, after a few months of attempts at mind games, Thunder Strike revealed himself and stated his intentions...only to have his surprise trumped by OrochiGeese's shocking tale of what the truth was for the last year of Thunder Strike's life. This was also accompanied by testimony from Captain Kickass and Tommy Fiero, who Thunder Strike had thought died during the "invasion."
Shocked but not humiliated, wounded but not broken, Thunder Strike declared OG's treachery to be the final straw. He then vowed to stop OG no matter what it took. Little did he know that OG already had a plan in motion to once again control him, as a wrestler in an OG owned UBL. OrochiGeese seeks to pit Thunder Strike against other enemies of his, and weaken him for the eventual showdown between the two. Thunder Strike will not allow anyone to get in his way of taking down OrochiGeese once and for all.
6/23/2010: Although Thunder failed to take down Geese during the Universal Championship, he did defeat him twice in matches widely considered to be amongst UBL's best. After it was obvious that their feud was distracting each of them from their upcoming preparations for the upcoming 2008 Battalion tag league, the two agreed on a Cease Fire for their respective factions. This Cease Fire would last until the end of the Battalion. After a grueling two years, Thunder's J.U.S.T.I.C.E. team won the Battalion league. His main team of Jason Hyde, Jang Bae, and himself were assisted by Kyle Walker and Johnny Bingo who, along with Jason Hyde, defeated the Dods after Thunder and Jang were attacked earlier in the evening by them and LRI. It is currently unclear if Thunder will resume his war with Geese now that the Cease Fire is over.
