Character and History:
THRASH Ogawa has been uncooperative in providing UBL with any type of background statement. Luckily we don't rely primarily on talent accounts of their own lives to fill this biography space. It appears that Ogawa dislikes everyone he comes across, with a particular animus against those that attempt to get close to him. Even a generous offer to buy him a sandwich in exchange for a list of his "five favorite European kings" was met with a spit to the face. In the few times that Ogawa has gone to the UBL Dojo to check out the competition, he appears to want nothing to do with his fellow wrestlers. Asako Matsuki was the one who told Drake Yoshida about the potential of Ogawa but THRASH appears to not want anything to do with her management group.
Kazuo Saji, who has encountered THRASH in the past, 'helpfully' told us (in a letter clearly edited by Asako for public relations reasons) that "
From the video tapes that she sent Drake for scouting purposes, we were able to get an idea of his wrestling style. His in ring behavior is without any regard for his opponent's safety OR his own. However, unlike wrestlers like Kurt Sanders and Kazuo Saji, THRASH does not appear to do anything to particularly taunt his opponents beyond the occasional slap or two. All of his offense appears to be driven by his own desires to lay waste to those who stand in his way by using extremely stiff strikes and face plants. There is not any element of mental warfare here. Instead, THRASH chooses to dismantle his opponent through pure physicality.
