Location: "Peter Venkman Memorial Arena" in Westchester, New York
[John Randolph:] "Hello fans. This is John Randolph and we're very excited and relieved to bring you the sixth event in the Continuum stream. Tonight we come to you with a number of pivotal encounters that can decide the future of each Block. Kazuo Saji vs. Bak Fu and Alicia Gordon vs. Jason Hyde are two matches that could main event any of our shows. I was looking forward to them and we are fortunate enough to finally witness them both. We also have two new entrants in the Continuum stream who will be adopting the win/loss record of the wrestlers they replaced. The Continuum league comes down with a touch of "Gold Rush" fever as we are set to see the league debut of Jasper Woodruff. He is taking the place of someone I don't even need to mention. Then there is a surprise entrant taking the place of Joachim who relinquished his spot in the league. They will be undergoing a trial by fire by debuting against THRASH Ogawa who remains Universal Circuit Champion and ornery as all hell after the past year. We have quite a show ahead of us!
Each of our four matches will take place between wrestlers from a different Block in this League.
Block A - NEXUS
Block B - Space-Time
Block C - World Heavyweight
Block D - Universal
Tonight's matches features these wrestlers:
Block B: Jasper Woodruff vs. Thomas Mills
Block D: Kazuo Saji vs. Bak Fu
Block C: Wrestler TBA vs. THRASH Ogawa
Block A: Alicia Gordon vs. Jason Hyde
(Click here to see the scoring system for the league.)
(Click here to see the results and points for each wrestler.)
Our first match of the night features Jasper Woodruff taking on Thomas Mills. Jasper inherits four points from the 'entity' he replaced. That's not half bad in this Block as he still has a numerical chance to progress to the next round. Thomas Mills has the lowest point total of anyone in the league at this juncture, amassing a piddling score of 1. And he only earned that because he was so thoroughly beaten by Brandr Hoff that the latter couldn't even get him into the ring to stave off a count-out. A few years ago, Geese Walker called out Thomas and a few other participants for having no chance to make it far in this league. Mills took great offense to this but his performance thus far has not helped his case.
Jasper Woodruff has always been on the periphery of singles success: lacking a victory against anyone of note. He's dangerous in tag matches when a partner can direct traffic and get the most out of him. On his own, Jasper gets more easily distracted, short tempered, and prone to shenanigans. Corey O'Brian already mocked Ruby Moreno for, among other things, choosing Jasper to fill this vacant spot. One could argue that Corey is correct in assuming there are wrestlers that are more deserving of this opportunity and would have a better chance at making it out of Block B.
On paper, this match looks really... awkward. Thomas' career seemed promising years ago but his potential may have peaked. He prefers a highly technical style that he just can't seem to effectively implement. Jasper is a mountain of a man who is as powerful as he is unhinged. I'm not sure if Mills will be able to handle his bulk or fury, but Jasper can be easily outsmarted. I'm fairly certain that we're not seeing a preview of the finals for this league, but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised at their efforts or our own patience?
Match 1 - B: Jasper Woodruff vs. Thomas Mills
[John:] I suppose the term "pleasant" is subjective but an element of surprise definitely was in play. Maybe it was the "jitters" of being in his first match of the league, but Jasper seemed particularly lost. He was even more easily confused, slower to act, and notably devoid of his usual hot-blooded temper which we all enjoy witnessing. Although he did regularly dance and sing about gold, he certainly didn't seem capable of earning it. Mills outworked and outsmarted him at every turn, even shockingly winning a test of strength. How did he manage that? Claiming that he was stronger than his opponent and relying on Jasper's gullibility. This seemed...off, even for a Jasper match.
Thomas kept Jasper grounded with holds that didn't even seem that tight or well secured. It didn't even seem like they particularly drained Jasper yet he did little to escape. On his best day, Jasper would never have had a strategic escape to these holds. However, he'd usually be able to power out of them or put up enough of a whiskey-fueled fit to make his opponent reconsider their close proximity. Instead, Jasper just relented and acted like the situation was hopeless despite not suffering any visible damage. Eiji Yoshida actually had Thomas break the holds and restarted both men on their feet due to "inactivity." That isn't even something I thought UBL refs had the authority to do here. But it was highly appreciated since the only danger of submission in this match was the crowd being bored into it.
The finish was even more bizarre. Mills reached into his pocket and took out what looked to be a gen-u-ine gold nugget. Given his family's wealth, I wouldn't doubt its authenticity. Nor did Jasper, who ran over to the nugget after Mills placed it on the ground. Jasper bent over to grab it, then Mills easily rolled him up with a schoolboy pin for the victory. Afterward, Jasper seemed to have lost the nugget. If this situation wasn't the definition of "fool's gold," I don't know what is.
Jasper Woodruff (L) [Schoolboy Pin - 8:30] (W) Thomas Mills
Jasper Woodruff earned 0 points.
Thomas Mills earned 5 points.
Mills came through with "generosity" though - he took out another nugget from his pocket and let Jasper keep it. I would imagine that Ruby will investigate this situation to make sure nothing untoward happened. Look, Mills' personality can be a little rich for my blood, but he always seemed to value competition. It would be a shame if he let his frustration at his stalled progress in this league lead him to buy victories from some of his more impressionable, downtrodden opponents. Case in point: Jasper was a lot more excited at keeping the gold than he was upset at losing the match. To his credit though, he seemed legitimately surprised at his gift. And he's never been known for being able to pull off a scheme or is one to hide it. He celebrated the occasion with a jig while Mills walked backstage with a hint of a smirk.
Our next match will certainly eclipse the previous one in athleticism and fighting spirit. Kazuo Saji is leading Block D with 8 points after wrestling to a time limit draw with Matthew Rivers and defeating Darius Korvin. He has also been on one helluva tear in Sierra Wrestling All-Stars. Just last month, he defended his prestigious SWA Openweight Championship for the fourth time against a very strong opponent in VOLT Tsukuda. While so much of our roster had been "sequestered," Saji has plied his trade all year. He also took part in an impromptu match last week against Kurt Sanders in the Basic Training dojo. Although Saji won that encounter, he may have endured some extra wear and tear as a result. But then again, he has been carrying that around all year and seems to love "workin' dat grind." (his words, I promise)
Bak Fu is currently in second place in Block D with 6 points. His first match in this league was a source of frustration and rage as he was goaded into losing by disqualification to James Ward (who has since been replaced by Darius Korvin). However, Bak started to build momentum on our last show by impressively submitting Matt Rivers in one of our best matches of the league. There are many competitors who are likely "pent up" after the past year and want a real fight. I would count Bak Fu as one who need that outlet most. Saji has been able to satiate that competitive urge but this is Bak's first real match for a long time. If I was Saji, I'd be extra careful that I approach Bak like the force of nature that he is and give him a wide berth. If I was Bak, I'd recognize that ring rust isn't just something Sandy Morton gets on humid nights. We have the potential for a real banger here and I know that both men are ready to give their all."
Match 2 - D: Kazuo Saji vs. Bak Fu
*POST MATCH SPOILERS*
[John:] "It was clear that damage occurred to Saji's neck as a result of facing Kurt and the aggregate effects over the past year. That's not to take away from Bak's efforts, but just to warn Saji about spreading himself too thin. I'm not sure if Bak saw that match, or if he was just being his usual "neck drop" self that we've all grown to love and fear.. But Bak went after that neck just as much as Saji goes after that a-, um, you know. I think one of the pivotal moments of the match was Bak's sleeper suplex on the outside, driving Saji to the floor right onto his neck. The entire arena winced.
However, I also can't say enough about Saji's resilience. Even after Bak's sleeper suplex, Saji still made a comeback. He hit an impressive counter Blade Runner and then scored with the "Chrome Splitter" kick which brought the crowd to their feet!! Ordinarily, I would have been shocked to have seen anyone kick out of that move so late in the match. However, I think Saji's body may have tightened up significantly by that point which reduced the rotation and power he is usually able to to provide with that kick. Saji still had the momentum until Bak hit a reverse frankensteiner. Then Bak used Saji's own "Chrome Splitter" against him! Saji kept fighting though and it finally took a tight Back Roll Neck Lock to keep Saji down. Bak choked him out until he lost consciousness and the ref called for the bell. Of note, that is the same move that Bak applied to make Matt Rivers pass out as well. Two Continuum events in a row, two Bak Fu submissions.
Note to Thomas Mills: and that's how you apply a hold!
Kazuo Saji (L) [Back Roll Neck Lock - 16:23] (W) Bak Fu
Kazuo Saji earned 0 points.
Bak Fu earned 5 points.
*Bak gets a huge ovation from the crowd and leaves the ring looking as fierce as when he entered it.
Tetsu Gushiken and RYOMA come down with medics to check on Kazuo. Hae-Won runs down to the ring too with a look of concern. After a few minutes and the use of smelling salts, Kazuo regains consciousness. He has a dumb grin on his face as he slowly points to each one of this friends then blows a kiss to Hae-Won. The medics check his body to make sure he has feeling in his lower extremities too but his legs aren't initially responding. Hae-Won pushes them aside and uses her palm to check a "specific" region for a reaction and uh...we have lift off. The medics back off with embarrassed looks on their faces. Hae-Won helps Kazuo to his feet and he lifts his arms up to gesture to the crowd that he's okay...before realizing that the structural integrity of his tights are in question. He quickly brings his hands down to cover his frontal groinal region. Tetsu and RYOMA wisely step in front to allow his body to settle down before the crowd sees.*
[John:] "Well, despite the initial scare, it's definitely a huge relief that Saji didn't sustain any significant damage in this match. It's possible he may have suffered a stinger or a concussion at some point though. It's certainly not healthy to lose consciousness and pass out like that during a hold. And after getting dropped on his head earlier, he's going to need further medical evaluation. We'll get word on his condition soon. In the meantime, to avoid the risk of a wardrobe malfunction that could get us shut down for another year, let's take our customary mid show intermission right now."
*We cut to a scene filmed earlier tonight. Corey O'Brian was found on camera, in the back of a van passing out t-shirts. Corey notices the camera.*
[Corey O'Brian:] "Evening. I normally don't make the trip up I-95 if I'm not scheduled to appear, but I wanted to show the good people of New York that while I am very upset with the goings-on of UBL's front office... I still care for my fans and I appreciate their support. So, I'm handing out... hey Xander, how much was it again?"
[Xander Starr:] "One thousand, five hundred and twenty-six."
[Corey O'Brian:] "That many of the new T-shirt that is on sale now at my website. The one that several fans have submitted the idea for, so they're all getting those in the mail with some extra memorabilia. And really, with a design like this..."
Corey pulls out a shirt and unfurls it to reveal the slogan: "I FUCKING HATE RUBY MORENO"*
[Corey O'Brian:] "Well, it was a clear winner. And if that disturbs you Ruby well... it should."
Corey hands over the shirt to the next fan.
Merchandising and concessions
*There were two merchandise booths set up tonight: The usual official one inside the arena and a temporary pop-up booth representing Corey's online store. Can you guess which won the showdown?
"I FUCKING HATE RUBY MORENO" shirts were the clear best seller. There was no real competition. As soon as Corey's promo aired, the fans practically stampeded outside to get their hands on tangible hatred for Ruby. The UBL booth still had some success though. Kazuo Saji shirts sold well and just as quickly as Bak Fu shirts did. THRASH Ogawa shirts were popular and many donned them immediately in anticipation of our next match.
Over at the concessions stand, "Bak Rocks" set many mouths a'popping with candy nostalgia. Some fans even ignored explicit safety warnings and tried mixing it with CRITICAL! Cola to unsettling results. Jason "Hyde-C" beverages provided cool refreshment in the hot arena. Jean Carter's "Autumn Apple Ci-der? I hardly know her!" non-alcoholic beverage is sold all season in the UBL and OG-Joshi arena. It did really well tonight despite the confusing pun. It cracks her up every time though and the fans seem to enjoy it. Don't sprinkle in "Bak Rocks" though.*
[John:] "And we are back from a rather pointed intermission. Ruby has her work cut out for her in a lot of ways. I don't think she'll ever truly win over Corey O'Brian but watching her try to manage this situation will be interesting!
Another person she needs to win over is the current Universal Circuit Champion - THRASH Ogawa. Ogawa came to the UBL to do one thing: fight...and he's all out of bubble gum. When you think of how many of our hiatuses were directly or indirectly caused by Ruby, you have to assume THRASH has *feelings* about her being the new owner. Also, you have to take into account his leadership role in helping to capture Gauntlet: long thought to be the final vestige of Destiny. So it's rather peculiar that he's been silent all year. But then again, THRASH tends to speak with his fists more than his thoughts.
And he's actually out here first tonight. I don't know if Ruby wanted to keep the suspense going just a bit longer as to who his opponent is, or if THRASH actually came first out because he simply couldn't wait to. Given that THRASH just picked up a microphone, maybe it's the latter."
*He taps his hand against the microphone to see if it works then smashes it against his head a few times to confirm it.*
[THRASH:] "I'm f'n fed up. UBL promises the best competition but the only real suspense is seeing if you can get a match in before it shuts down for a year. And I just can't bring myself to give one sh*t about the owner of a place that can't even stay open. So you get one promise from me, Moreno. F*ck our past. You wanna be in charge now? Just keep the fights coming or I'm coming for you. As for who I'm facing now, it better be someone who wants to fight. I've been itching for one since January and my body just can't take it anymore. So send a real warrior out here, or I'll find one backstage and get off there."
[John:] "I don't think he's bluffing either. You can see his body practically vibrating for a fight similar to how it was when standing in the ring across from William King and Kyle Walker. While his mystery opponent gets ready to make his entrance, I'll just make a few notes. THRASH brings 5 points to this match tonight: which is good enough to make him the current runner-up in Block C. He earned that through a victory over Tetsu Gushiken: whose spot in Block C is now claimed by JET Hamada. Ogawa's opponent for tonight adopts the 4 points that Joachim earned from a disqualification win over Charles Langford. I'm sure this bit of math has whet everyone's appetite for whoever the surprise..."
*Without any entrance music, THRASH's opponent comes out to ringside.*
[John:] "It's Tyler Alexander!!"
[John:] "The crowd is losing it's mind at the fight we're about to see between him and THRASH! Tyler has returned to the UBL after a long hiatus. He has also wrestled in FPCPP, Azteca Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Fantasia. During his storied career, Tyler has held multiple Titles including the PWF Heavyweight Championship. We're looking at someone who has fought and stood their ground against the likes of Athrin Kazama and RYOMA. And wow....folks, THRASH has a million mile smile across his face right now. He's shaking the ropes and yelling "F*CK YEAH!" He wants this, he needs an opponent of this caliber. It looks like Tyler feels the same way and runs down to the ring to immediately start this fight!"
Match 3 - C: Tyler Alexander vs. THRASH Ogawa
[John:] "Carnage con carne!
[John:] "After the beef was served well done, the two settled into a series of Greco-Roman face squeezes. Neither man walked away holding the other man's face, but the fight continued on.
THRASH landed a toe kick and threw Tyler outside of the ring."
[John:] "Okay, so Tyler will probably not engage in any further face squeezing contests with a man who batters his own face with a steel chair. But Tyler was not deterred and raked his own face against the ropes in a display of madness and mutually assured facestruction. (I want royalties on your music sales if you use that name for your new band).
THRASH actually applauded Tyler's display here, but then kneed him hard in the stomach. A DDT followed and THRASH took control with a surfboard submission. This match finally started to resemble a traditional bout but Tyler had the gall to defy momentum expectations. He used his notably strong legs to crawl to one of the sides of the ring. He hooked his feet over the apron, then suddenly slingshotted his body down to the floor, sending THRASH's throat into the ropes. Tyler got up and pulled THRASH out of the ring as well. At this point, Eiji Yoshida was notably concerned at the direction this match was going in. Luckily he had been warming his fingers up before the match so he was ready to begin the count-out numbering right on time. I promise folks, he won't get the math wrong on this.
Tyler picks THRASH up for what appears to be a very early attempt at the "Basilisk Driver" (Emerald Frosion) but THRASH is able to escape and lands behind him, transitioning into position to attempt the "Ogawa Driver" (Full Nelson Face Buster). Tyler elbows him in the face, but THRASH holds him in position and pushes Tyler forward into the ring post. THRASH runs at Tyler with a lariat but Tyler ducks: leading THRASH to wrap his arm around a pole. Tyler grabs Ogawa's arm and yanks it hard. THRASH seethes but then wraps his other arm around the pole and has Tyler do the same.
Oh, and we're up to a 10 count. Tyler uses uses a double hammer fist on each of Ogawa's shoulders, sending THRASH down. But then THRASH suddenly rises up with an uppercut style headbutt that lands squarely under Tyler's chin! Tyler gets lifted 6 feet in the air and then THRASH uses his own ascending rising momentum to jump up and hit Tyler in the air with a flying yakuza kick, sending him flying over the ring barrier!! The fans go bonkers!
We're at 15 seconds and Eiji is just shaking his head in dismay.
THRASH looks conflicted here. He has a relatively easy route to a count out victory if he just slides into the ring now. He takes a step in the direction of the ring, then sees Tyler actually manage to get up after that seemingly debilitating combo. THRASH grins and flips the double bird at the referee (who doesn't get paid or care if THRASH wins by count out...) and then hits a diving splash over the ring barrier onto Tyler!
Tyler Alexander (D-DQ) [ Double Count Out - 7:30 ] (D-DQ) THRASH Ogawa
Tyler Alexander earned 2 points.
THRASH Ogawa earned 2 point.
[John:] "Eiji's job for this segment is mercifully done but the fight.is.not.over!
THRASH and Tyler continue brawling into the crowd. Security tries to get to them but are having a hard time what with all the human shields...aka fans. At one point, a member of security grabs Tyler but THRASH frees him and then hits the security guard. The two continue fighting all the way backstage!!
Well, that has to go down in the annals of UBL history as one of the most bizarre bouts we've ever had. I don't know how to respond other than to express relief that neither man, or the audience, was hurt. I don't know whether Ruby will be more annoyed at what we just saw or the first match.
Regardless, now we turn to the main event where Alicia Gordon will face Jason Hyde. These two are both highly decorated competitors. Alicia is the last UBL NEXUS Champion and Jason was one half of the Universal Battalion Champions and a winner of the Universal Battalion Championship league in 2010.
Each possess victories over larger, stronger, physically imposing wrestlers who have made life hell for them. Alicia may be best known for coming back from a possible career ending injury at the hands of Juli Krieger to defeat her. This was a feat akin to climbing Everest and stabbing it in its throat. She also donned a mask for an entire year, building momentum to defeat Matthew Rivers for his NEXUS Championship in 2019. Jason Hyde defeated Geese Walker and Jack Dod in the same Universal Champions League in 2017. Geese had been his prime antagonist at that point and Dod was the eventual winner of that league. Then a few years later Jason, Kyle Walker, and Johnny Bingo defeated the Dods for the Universal Battalion Championships. Jason also defeated and injured Thunder Strike in the first defense of that Title.
Alicia and Jason have a long shared history. Not only was Alicia once a friend of Jason's, but also an ally against the Walkers' early reign of terror over UBL and OG-Joshi. The "crowd jumper" saga occupies a large volume in the history of both promotions and Jason and Alicia were central figures. Alicia also remains a close friend of Jason's sister, Angelica Hyde. They met in LAWL in the early 2000's and are still on very good terms.
Alicia and Jason have experienced their share of conflicts though. When Jason got out from under Thunder Strike's control and joined Jinchuu, he and Alicia found themselves on opposite sides. Even though Jason left Jinchuu and the UBL voluntarily, it's hard to tell if the trust between Alicia and Jason was ever truly rebuilt.
When Jason returned in 2020, it seemed like there was still some lingering tension. Things boiled over at Continuum IV when "Three of a Kind" helped Kurt Sanders steal a victory from Jason Hyde. Although it was clear that Alicia was actually just trying to help Jason, she accidentally kicked him in the head which paved the way for Kurt to steal a cheap victory with a low blow. If it wasn't for Corey O'Brian and Thunder Strike intervening, there's no telling what would have happened between Alicia and Jason. Though I think it's fair to say "words exchanged" would have been the upper limit. Jason is not known for flying off the handle and Alicia seemed genuinely apologetic about the accident.
Jason's reaction was primarily focused on Kurt Sanders but you can't be surprised if he actually was frustrated with Alicia too. Of course, that was early last year. The experience that we all went through since then may have cleansed any negativity toward each other. Given the good relationship they once had, and the respect that they each have for competition, I think we will see a clean match here. Will it be hard fought? Undoubtedly.
In one corner, you have Alicia Gordon who is one of the most intense wrestlers we have ever seen. She's facing a true in ring prodigy that has pulled off enough high stakes victories over top ranked wrestlers that he can honestly be the favorite in a match against just about anyone. Alicia has to be at her absolute best to beat Jason. And Jason can not rest for one second against someone who is known for their knockout ability. Alicia's "AG-47" rivals Kazuo Saji's "Chrome Splitter" for strongest kick in the UBL and knock out tally. Alicia knocked out Juli Krieger, Saji knocked out Matthias. Jason has to be very careful here and also note Alicia's submission ability. Jason is no slouch in that category either, with his "Nowhere to Hyde" submission being the aforementioned one that put Thunder on the shelf.
A further source of motivation for each competitor is the standings in their Block. They have both run into some frustrations in this league and, as a result, each possess a mere 3 points. Jason was clearly robbed against Kurt and earned his 3 points from a time limit draw after having trouble with the gargantuan Wang Gom-Bu. Many thought Jason should have won that one. Similarly, in Alicia's first match of the league, she couldn't defeat the superior agility of Tsaoring Chou before the time ran out. Kurt and Wang are currently tied for the lead in this Block with 9 points. Alicia and Jason need to start pushing themselves into overdrive to make sure Sanders does not advance. Alicia went into this league with a fire and impatience that threatened to burn up Block A. Jason returned to UBL as a clear favorite to win Block A based on all he has accomplished. It's time for them both to follow through and make their presence felt."
Match 4 - A: Alicia Gordon vs. Jason Hyde
*POST MATCH SPOILERS*
[John:] "Wow, with just seconds to spare before the time ran out, Jason Hyde ties Alicia up in a brilliant pinning combination! We just saw an incredible match between these two and you don't even get a sense they are tired. The conditioning and endurance that they both have is among the best in the UBL.
Alicia hit Jason with a variety of painful suplexes we've never seen from her before. Jason returned the favor with brainbusters and pinning combinations to keep Alicia off balance. Both persevered against some of the more painful submissions the other applied and managed to come within 15 seconds of the clock. But Jason used his combination of lucha libre and technical experience to wrap Alicia up with that cobra twist.
Alicia Gordon (L) [Ground Cobra Twist - 19:47] (W) Jason Hyde
Alicia Gordon earned 0 points.
Jason Hyde earned 5 points.
[John:] Jason looks pleased but is focused on Alicia's reaction. She has gotten to her feet and started to kick the bottom rope in frustration. Jason isn't ceding the ring to her though, nor should he have to as the victor. But he is, wisely, keeping his distance. Thunder Strike comes out to the ring in an attempt to console her. He eyes Jason, and even nods his head in respect for the victory. Alicia doesn't appear angry at Jason, but rather herself. While I doubt she was aiming for the time limit draw, it's definitely frustrating to lose just 13 seconds before the match was over and she had a chance at a few more points. Thunder is talking to her and trying to refocus her energies. It seems to be working. At the very least, the ring ropes got the brunt of her negative energy out so she seems more receptive.
But before Alicia has the chance to full cool down, the mood turns molten."
[John:] "THRASH and Tyler have come back to ringside and are still fighting!! They came onto the entrance ramp and are continuing to punch each other's bruised and bloodied faces!! THRASH throws Tyler down the ramp, and then Tyler does the same right back to THRASH. The two are right next to the ring and get inside, ignoring who is already there.
Thunder Strike immediately tries to break up their fight before it gets more out of control. A vestige of his J.U.S.T.I.C.E. Security days? Whatever the reason, THRASH is furious at his intervention and begins fighting him!! Alicia and Jason break it up: with Alicia pushing back THRASH and Jason pushing back Thunder.
THRASH goes to punch Alicia but realizes who it is and stops himself. He immediately calms down, smiles, and audibly says "our time will come, I can wait a little longer so it's perfect." and backs up. He then walks over to Tyler, fist bumps him, and thanks him for the fight. THRASH pushes Thunder back one more time, then walks backstage with a look of euphoria. Tyler leaves through the crowd with a stoic expression on his face.
Thunder seethes and stares down THRASH. Alicia looks distracted from her earlier frustration, turns, and sees Jason in front of her. She takes a second to breathe before offering her hand to him. Without hesitation, Jason takes it and the two share a brief handshake. Now it's Alicia's turn to calm down Thunder Strike. After a few seconds, the two walk backstage allowing Jason to stand tall in the ring as the fans applaud him.
That was certainly something! Continuum VI is now in the books! Ruby told me that our attention for the remainder of the year will be focused on building the UBL side of the OG-FPD 21st Anniversary card! We'll be sprinkling in some Universal Access matches as well. So stay tuned for some end of year action! Thanks for watching!

Our first match of the night features Jasper Woodruff taking on Thomas Mills. Jasper inherits four points from the 'entity' he replaced. Thomas Mills has the lowest point total of anyone in the league at this juncture, amassing a piddling score of 1.
