Um, I don't know if you'd want FPJ involved at all (I mean, it's not even running at the moment, but that could change...), and if so, how many/what kind of teams you'd want. I was just looking over my roster to figure out what groups could be put together and can see anywhere from 4-6 right now, though half of them would have lame names like "PCW Originals" or "FPJ Técnicos", as I only have 2-3 real "stables" that would qualify.

FPJ is absolutely invited Longtime (or newly formed) stables in FPJ are the best choice really as I want some cohesive relationship between the members of the team. Sticking 3 or 4 random members together really isn't my top preference unless they have some kind of theme...like "FPJ Heroes team" or something like that. I'm not asking that the team have been together for like years though. And if you have a two man stable who happens to be friendly with a third or fourth member, you can stick them together. Kinda like how LRI has Park Hyun Soo added cause of Stuart. I'm not requiring strict stables, just a logical reason for the team existing I'd say go with the 2-3 stables you have and add more if you see a good storyline reason. Just going with like "FPJ Technicos" isnt really cohesive enough but an "FPJ Heroes" team could work if the members have been associated with each other in the past. Or a 3 man JB team ;D

Well, the thing is I'm not even really that crazy about most of the "real" stables I have that could fit the bill... Like, a few have a member that might be too HOSS-tastic (I mean, SNUH has a freakin' giant on their team). There are also a few tag teams I'd rather use, but they don't have a third member that they really associate with... The "Técnico" team I had in mind actually was a regular tag team, plus another similarly-minded partner, who are all mid-card non-cheating babyfaces, but it might've been kind of a reach to make them all a group. Plus, I couldn't come up with anything better than that generic team name... Though I just thought of a better twosome to team up with the third guy, who'd have a better "theme", and at least they teamed up in a six-man tag once! Now the "PCW Originals" (sort of like ECW Originals, but not...) team makes sense (I think), as it'd consist of two semi-regular tag teams, who all go back many years to the PCW fed that JB started out in. It would have two top-level FPJ guys, a mid-level guy and a weak link to make things interesting. They also just happen to have a shitty team name... Looking at what I have right now, JB isn't involved in any of the groups. The only thing that'd work for him would be teaming up with his top protégé, Rico, and another member or two of the LBC... Or that 3 JB thing you mentioned.

Go with the PCW originals team, I think thats very interesting. Book Matthews is in there, right? Also, do you have at least three MALE members of Star Fleet? Cause if so, they're joining the league. I'm prepared to do what it takes to acquire their services, headed by Captain Banner, of course JB and Rico make TOTAL sense so just add one more heel (maybe Rat Bastard?) and you have a good team. So yeah, I figure thats 3 solid teams right there

Go with the PCW originals team, I think thats very interesting. Book Matthews is in there, right? YEAH! He would be in there. Also, do you have at least three MALE members of Star Fleet? Cause if so, they're joining the league. I'm prepared to do what it takes to acquire their services, headed by Captain Banner, of course Unfortunately, Starfleet doesn't have a third male on the team anymore. They used to, but he got BANNED! for losing too much. Starfleet was one of the groups I was thinking of that didn't have that third member, though maybe they could find somebody to replace him (in general, I mean, not just for this). Like, really, now that I'm thinking about it, I should probably have somebody already on the roster that's doing nothing else join the group, as I miss being able to do Starfleet tag matches NOT involving Banner (while he watches and complains from the outside)... JB and Rico make TOTAL sense so just add one more heel (maybe Rat Bastard?) and you have a good team. That could work, as I actually had plans for JB and Bastard to work together occasionally in FPJ against their common enemy (Matthews) in the upcoming months, despite neither really being "team players", if I ever start the damn thing up again...

YEAH! He would be in there. Excellent, I want him in as he's one of, if not THE, biggest FPJ faces. So let's go with that overall PCW team. Unfortunately, Starfleet doesn't have a third male on the team anymore. I want Starfleet, REALLY want Starfleet. Just have Banner draft a new member for the purposes of the UBL tag league (and if you want, for FPJ stories). Since Starfleet is already a faction with at least two male members (and its share of female ones), its not "cheating" to add someone else here since they will then become part of an already established name faction. It totally works, let's go with it That could work, as I actually had plans for JB and Bastard to work together occasionally in FPJ against their common enemy (Matthews) in the upcoming months, despite neither really being "team players", if I ever start the damn thing up again... Yeah, remembering the last FPJ show, I could see JB and Rat Bastard working together against Matthews and his allies. So having an uber-heel FPJ team with JB, Rico, and Rat, works very nicely Feel free to add those teams to the "Post your tag teams" thread just so we can add them to the count

You know, I thought about this last night, but I was getting off the computer for the day, so I didn't post until now... When is this league supposed to be starting? 'Cause I'm just thinking that in how ever many months, wrestlers could change alignments, alliances could break up, new ones could form, etc, so teams would have to change. Though, maybe that's why the other topic is named "Post your tentative Tag League teams!", and I'm just stating the obvious...

Well yeah, that thread is all tentative. I don't expect the tag league to start til like March really. The singles league ends potentially on 12/13 and I'm gonna want a few months to get things ready for the tag league cause there looks to be a lot of teams. I'll want final confirmation by like February and then i'll have to make a schedule. So you don't have to feel that the teams are set in stone now. That thread was really just to give me and others an idea of the possible people involved. Kind of a head-count. You can put the three teams down we talked about but then you can change things around at any point before the league begins.

As for a name for the heel group, why not:
"Blackharted Pizza-cuttin Bastards" ;D

As for a name for the heel group, why not: "Blackharted Pizza-cuttin Bastards" ;D That'd be even better if I used that, then completely changed the team, but still kept the name... Other similar names I just randomly came up with: MooseRatPizza (kind of like ManBearPig) Purple Bastard Mafia (This Me Some Other Mafia)

Those are pretty funny names too I kinda like the Purple Bastard Mafia a lot, actually. Maybe go with that?

Important Announcements! OMG this thread still exists! And yes, we're still having a tag league next year! Once the Singles league and 12/13 show are over, I would like to start planning the schedule for the tag league. So I'm setting a deadline of February 1st for people to confirm their final tag league teams and members. Seeing as how its early November now and we've all had time to think of this anyway, February 1st should be fine I will also be using Deibu's excellent "home team" idea. So when everyone submits their final teams, if they could tell me what their team's "home" will be and the name of that arena, that would be peachy Note: I don't actually NEED the updated edits by then, I just need to know what teams you are using so I can begin scheduling. As long as I get the edits like a week or two before the first show, I'll be fine. The tag league will begin in mid March. I am strongly considering making the matches elimination style. We're still doing the 3 and 4 man teams overall (depending on what each team handler wants for their teams). But the matches will be 2 vs. 2 with elimination rules to make things more interesting (convoluted). The already convoluted rules will still stand. The whole "4 man teams" (but not 3 man) are subject to the "bye week" rule. Now, since eliminations are factored in, the "bye week" rule is slightly modified. Originally, the person who won or lost in the match had to take the "bye week". But with elimination rules, now the FIRST person on a team to either cause an elimination or BE eliminated has to take the forced "bye week" for the following show. So just a slightly modification that shouldn't mess with the spirit of the "bye week".
