The Universal Battle League Field Leader has the honor and Title of being the trainer of the Front Lines and its elite Basic Training program. This is an official UBL Championship and comes with monetary and reputation advantages. (The origins of this title can be found here and here) It also comes with a number of rules to govern advancement as well as challenges.
General Requirements
1 - During daily allotted Front Line time in the UBL gym, the Field Leader must be present to preside over training unless the Sergeant or Owner is also present. No Main Roster members that may be present have priority over him at this time.
2 - A Field Leader must spend extra time in the UBL gym with any Front Lines member who requests help with training provided they aren't obviously antagonistic to his health and safety. If there is a question as to their motives, the Field Leader may request additional security present at the training session.
3 - A Field Leader must help evaluate the potential of prospective Front Lines members and report to the Sergeant his findings. This includes getting in the ring with them.
4 - A Field Leader must preside over the Basic Training roster and the shows. He must recap the action for the fans and give his opinion on the progress of the wrestlers on the shows.
5 - A Field Leader may search for and recruit new prospective members and test them but it is still the Sergeant and Owner's discretion to accept them onto the roster.
6 - A Field Leader must face any established wrestlers who have to defeat him in order to earn a 'swap match' for a position on the Main Roster.
7 - The Field Leader may defend his Title against anyone of his choosing at any planned show.
Field Leader Promotion
1 - If a Field Leader wishes to advance to the main roster, he must do two things. a) Voluntarily give up his FL position and b) win a swap match with a Main Roster member.
2 - He is allowed to hand pick a member or leave it to the Sergeant's discretion.
3- In the case of a Field Leader giving up their title, the UBL Sergeant has discretion to decide how the new Leader will be determined.
4 - If the Field Leader who vacated his position then loses the Swap match, he does not get his Field Leader Title back. He will have to challenge for the vacated title like anyone else.
Challenges to the Field Leader
From Main Roster
1 - A member of the Main Roster may challenge the Field Leader for his Title by wrestling him on a Basic Training program.
a) If the challenger loses the Title match, he will be placed on the Front Lines. (The victorious Field Leader may treat this match as a swap match and advance to the Main Roster or remain Field Leader.)
b) If he wins the Title match and later loses the Title to someone else challenging for the Field Leader position, he will be placed in the Basic Training program.
From Front Lines
1 - Only someone on the Basic Training program can win the Field Leader Title. Being on the Front Lines is not enough to get a Title match.
2 - Those on the Front Lines (but not Basic Training) who get the Sergeant's approval can challenge the Field Leader. If they beat them, they then earn a "swap match" against someone on the Main Roster.
The Field Leader Title is not just about being able to defeat all of your opponents, it's about wanting to support and foster Front Lines and Basic Training competition. The dedication in remaining a Field Leader means you can retain that Title even if you lose a match and your opponent moves on to a Swap Match.
That means this is the only UBL Title where a Champion can lose multiple matches but still retain their title based on loyalty to their position and fulfillment of their other Field Leader duties.
Edited to reflect new Basic Training program.
